Delivers on promise.
I'll break it down into three segments, as I've only just begun to use this bench.1. Packaging.- Exterior packaging was a little beat up, but that's more on Fed Ex than anything. Looks to have been shipped prepared for the damage it might take.- Interior packaging was for the most part sound. Everything arrived in good working order, no loose pieces and with the coating mostly free from damage. Very few nicks here and there.2. Easy of assembly.- The instructions were bare-bones, but did give a nice exploded view of the parts and locations. The kit did come with two wrenches that fit correctly, but do yourself a favor and grab a small ratchet. Makes assembly a snap.- The parts themselves were very well constructed. Had ZERO issues assembling it. Holes lined up and bolts were of proper length. Took maybe 30 minutes at most.3. Initial look and quality. I haven't used the bench much yet, as I just received it, but from the outset:- Coating on the bars was well done.- Backboard covering looks well constructed.- Feels considerably sturdier than my earlier benches. Again, initial review. Let's hope that it stays like this.So far, worth the price.

Very high quality bench for home gyms, on the wider / softer side
Review after one year of heavy, consistent weightlifting:Highly recommend this bench. I got this in addition to a weightlifting cage, a barbell, and plates to build my own gym in the basement (see photo). I cannot be happier with this idea (which is already cheaper than having gym memberships for several family members that use my home gym). This bench is particularly good: easy to assemble with tools at home, check. Very sturdy / even for a larger person benching 250lbs+ it has never ever felt unstable, check.Very comfortable BUT this might be a matter of personal preference: it is a bit wider, and a bit softer / more cushiony than many benches at regular gyms (which tend to be narrow and "hard"). This gives the back and body more support, which one could argue makes lifting easier. Indeed, I find it hard to bench the same weight at regular gyms because their benches are more narrow, so part of my shoulder blades are off the bench, which I am no longer used to, and gym benches are harder / more slippery. However, from a pure strength building perspective, if you are mostly using this bench, then it doesn't really matter-- but it is something to take into account.

NFL hard user quality - look no further - this is a pro's bench.
This replaced a Rep Fitness bench that I left behind when moving cross country. I was completely happy with the Rep bench, however - this is better. I'd rate the Rep bench an 8.5 and this a 10. It's heavier duty, looks better, was easier to assemble (a breeze, just using the photo and diagram). The pad is better and better designed. It looks nicer and is higher quality of materials in the pad. It also sits about an inch, maybe 1.5 inches higher which I like better. This is a bench that you could use in an NFL, or Div. 1 College training room. And the price was very reasonable. It may be the best value for a product I've ever bought on Amazon, or for home gym use fwiw. This is the "Mercedes" of weight benches at a Ford and Chevy price (I don't know how they did it). 10 Stars. Buy with confidence and without worry. Shipped fast too.

Excellent piece of gym equipment. Sturdy, stable and professional.
This is a solid, well-built bench. The bench is built with a strong thick steel base with a plywood based bench board. The bench was well packed and included all of the parts and tools to put the bench together. The only complaint I think anyone might give is the assembly directions. A well versed maintainer can easily read and put the bench together in less than 30 minutes. A beginner may struggle putting it together by not doing things in proper order…then having to undo some items to then start again.1. Open box and prep items for assembly.2. Remove bolts, washers, nuts, and wrenches from parts packet.3. Attach the Upright frame with name plate out to the base frame first using the carriage bolts with 1 washer and nut for each bolt. Then attach the 2nd Upright frame to the base plate in the same configuration on the opposite side.4. Line up the base frame with the backrest.5. Loosely put in all of the M10X30 Hex bolts with washer into each of the attachment points before tighting them down.6. Once all of the bolts are loosely attached, then tighten them down to hand tight.7. After they are all hand tight, then use the included wrench to tighten each beam and work your way down the bench .8. Attach the main base to the Upright Frames. Use the M10X70 bolt with washers on each side. Put the both bolts sets on loosely first and then hand tighten down.9. Use the two included wrenches to tighten up the main base bolts.10. Flip over and enjoy your new bench!

Damaged in shipping.
Bench is sturdy and easy to assemble. However, the company needs to adjust the packing for this product. Box arrived with damage which is expected due to the weight. Similar to other customer experiences, one of the plastic end caps was damaged in shipping (see photo). Will update this review pending the company's response to the damage.
