De Cecco Whole Wheat Pasta, Linguine, 13.25 Ounce (Pack of 12) (VIP0007)

All varieties of De Cecco pasta are of exceptional quality and taste. The whole wheat pasta is very good and cooks al dente. I got an amazing price for this pack of 12 boxes at under .90 cents a box! Shockingly it was delivered intact and with an expiration date 1 year in the future. Not sure why the price was so low, but it was a steal for such a quality pasta. I pay $3.50 per box at the grocery store hear in Hawaii, which is a sale price. Normally it's closer to $5 per box not on-sale. Amazon prices are usually high for this product, but every once in a while a great deal can be had. De Cecco is much better than Barilla, but Barilla is a great alternative when cost comes into play.

I purchased this in a 12 pk. a couple of months ago and they have been in the pantry.I made my first batch of spaghetti tonight. Wow! The flavor was all that I had hoped for after carefully reading the ingredients list prior to purchase as I am very particular about my pasta flavor.I cooked it for 12 min. in salted water. Stirred 3 times every four minutes. I tasted the plain pasta at the end and it was so good right out of the pot. I could have eaten them plain with some organic butter. I like how it had the characteristic, light nutty flavor of whole wheat pasta. 100% whole wheat. Not “made with” whole wheat. (Meaning it would be mostly refined, a.k.a. stripped down, processed wheat with a little whole wheat added to the mixture.). This was very flavorful pasta all on it’s own. Which made adding sauce and cheese just that much better. Whole wheat pasta is the foundation of great spaghetti, to me. - I have found my new pantry pasta staple in this purchase.

I ordered a big box of this item and something was terribly wrong with the pasta. I've had this pasta many times before, but in this order, the product was bad. When cooked, it would literally fall apart in the water. I tried a couple differen't boxes and they were all the same and I had to throw the boxes away. I even tried to undercook the pasta and it still broke and fell apart. This is very upsetting considering I spent my money on this. How am I to know that the entire box is bad? That's why I didn't return it right away.

I ordered this pasta because we have had a difficult a time finding whole wheat/whole grain pasta and since the pandemic, it is nearly non-existent from our neighborhood stores. When I saw this pasta was available, 12 boxes, at a very reasonable price, I ordered it. It is only 13.5 oz per box, not a full one pound(16oz) but it still seemed a good buy and now I don't have to go out to try to find it at the shops. I enjoy whole wheat/grain pastas more than the pasty white stuff that the stores seem to love stocking! (yuk)Thank you DeCecco!

Simply the best whole wheat pasta made. It used to be carried by local supermarkets however now only available to me via Amazon. The first time I ordered a 12 box pack I received only one box (12 ounces) of pasta. Amazon refunded the purchase price as it was a obviously a warehouse error. I re-ordered and I am hopeful that I will receive the entire order of 12 boxes.Pasta is tasty and very nutritious. It is high in fiber. It isn't overly starchy as common with most whole wheat pastas.

The BEST pasta!

The box I got looks like someone had it & returned it because of the short "best before date", which is only 5 months from now (11/14). There are more broken pieces than one would expect also due to the travel maybe. You'd think that a full box of 12 would have at least one year of life left, not that it will go bad, but I wasn't too happy about the resealed box.

This is the best tasting Linguine I've ever had. I used to use Barillia, but they don't carry the Whole Wheat option often enough where I live, So finding this has been a win/win for me. I've tried the other pastas in their line, and they are just as tasty. Great co. making a great product, you CAN taste the difference.
