Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B Vengeance Blue 8 GB (2X4 GB) PC3-12800 1600mHz DDR3 240-Pin SDRAM Dual Channel Memory Kit 1.5V

Purchased this kit to compliment a new build using a Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5 m/b, AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition CPU. Common to this and many other m/b's bios, the ram is initially recognized in bios as 1333MHz rather than this rams rated 1600MHz. Going into BIOS, 2 clicks of the mouse rectified that. For those only wanting or just starting out with 8GB of ram this kit is ideal. Two 4gb sticks using only 2 memory slots is more efficient than spreading the 8gb's over the four slots. My most immediate concern was compatibility with my M/B for it was not one listed as being tested for compatibility. I'm happy to report it is fully compatible with no issues. It thouroughly passed memtest, and my system has been running fast and stable since the day my build was born, about 2weeks now. O/S boot up is fast, opening applications is fast and multitasking is not a problem, but then I am running a 6 core CPU as well. I rather like the blue colored heatsinks, matches my board quite nicely but that's only cosmetically important, what counts is my PC's processing speed and stabilty and that earns this ram 5 stars, I couldn't be more pleased. I don't ever see the need to add another kit to make it 16gb but if that day should arise I would not hesitate to make this purchase once again. I highly recommend it. Fast, stable, fair price,the best warranty, no need to say more. Other than go ahead, buy it. Update: 8/17/2011 I've added another one of these kits to my system to max out my board at 16gb. As expected, the additional ram did not notably increase my system performance. My reasoning behind adding the extra ram was because I could and I got a gold box deal on it. That being said, my initial review still stands in every aspect. Corsair ram rocks.

Finally finished piecing together my new PC and gave it some time to test it out. At resolution 1920x1200 with most settings on high (using NVidia GeForce Experience recommendations) gameplay is smooth and pretty with Assassins Creed IV, League of Legends, Rage, Path of Exile, Diablo 3, StarCraft 2, & Heroes of the Storm. All the fans are not loud at all and go unnoticed with the box under my desk. The lights look awesome from the fans, psu, & Intel CPU cooler. The case has 3 thermometers labeled for CPU, HDD, and SYS. They make for a nice LED display on the front but placing them in the case is a little tricky. I use HWMonitor to watch temps and so far nothing has gone over 55 Celcius. Gigabyte has some proprietary software w/ their motherboard. I have attempted the auto overclocking program labeled EasyTune but have not had much luck with it. Ended up keeping CPU at it's original 3.4 GHz since there isn't really a need to push it more than that currently. In the future I may try manually overclocking in the BIOS. The BIOS is extremely easy to navigate and has a plethora of configuration options and adjustable parameters. Overall, system works flawlessly and is everything I wanted with the potential for easy upgrading in the future. Hope this helps if anyone is shopping around and doing some research.

I received the memory on time and found the memory easy to install. One of my empty slots was next to the CPU but that did not cause any problems with putting the memory in. I was impressed with how easy adding more memory to my system was. It usually is easy, but I am usually overly cautious. That being said, I added this memory to a system that had 6gb already. 4gb in one slot and 2gb in another. For me, even though I edit HD videos, and run tons of prgams at the same time, 6gb was plenty. I decided to add an additional 8gb due to how inexpensive it was and to allow me to run even more programs without having to hit the hard drive a lot. I do not notice that much of a speed difference, even though now I have 14gb. What I have noticed is smoother operation. I have several apps open righ tnow and task manager shows approx 10gb memory available. With the 14gb total memory I now will be able to run virtual environments easily. It will be like having 3 computers in one box, running at the same time! Sweet! Thank you Corsair! The 8gb at the price I paid for is truly a bargain. The packaging was professional all the way and easy to open.

Mi tarjeta madre ya tiene sus años y es dificil encontrar memoria RAM DDR3 con disipador que sean nuevas, afortunadamente se me ocurrio venir a revisar aqui y me encontre con estas que son iguales a las que ya tenia instaladas, funcionan excelente y el disipador que tienen hace bien su trabajo.

Got the Memory however using Speccy and other software and reading the card itself i got a PC3-10700 not the PC3-12800 card... So i'm unsure if was given the wrong card... and i cant XMP this card... however the card does work good with my very old 2x2GB each PC3-10700 G.skill cards to get Dual channel... using the PC3-12800 XMP/OC'd 1600Mhz (800mhz) G.Skill the system will not boot up and my Motherboard does give the 4 beeps for errors... other then this, I believe this to be good memory if you got the same ram to go with it if not alone it works good (at this time i have written to the seller to see if the cards were sent as error... this might be updated shortly) Edit: so yes these cards will go 1600 with XMP if you enable it, and so far is very stable and works flawlessly also the blue is really nice.

Seal on box was broken though, not sure was 100% new but the gold fingers looks new.

Fantastiche e molto belle da vedere . Ordinate alle 23 di ieri sera e arrivate stamattina alle 9,30! ! Come avranno fatto ? ? Prima di ordinarle ho dovuto controllare che ci stessero nel case , in quanto sono molto alte . Su questo computer piatto andavano montate massimo le 1333 , ma queste 1600 sono state subito riconosciute e settate in automatico a 1333 . Sono molto piu' veloci e il computer e' piu' reattivo . A livello estetico sono da urlo , bellissime e con un dissipatore enorme in metallo anodizzato blu . Peccato nasconderle nel case . Comprate a solo 51 Euro per 8 GB in 2 banchi da 4 GB cadauno , sono spettacolari per la qualita' costruttiva , l'estetica , le prestazioni e senz'altro anche per la durata nel tempo , garantita dagli efficenti dissipatori che abbattono la temperatura . Super soddisfatto dell'acquisto .
