Cavallo Horse & Rider Trek Regular Sole Hoof Boot, Size 3

I like Cavallo Trek boots for our Thoroughbred Gelding. I wish the boots were sold in pairs - they used to be as I purchased a pair several years ago. These boots fit much better than the other pair I had. The video on the Cavallo website is very helpful and shows how to measure the horses hoof for a good fit.

Appreciate the comfort for horse , durability, and easy to put on and off .

Love these boots! I use them for trail riding and my pony is clearly more comfortable over sharp gravel trails with them. I've never lost a boot, even when going through deep mud or water, or cantering/hand galloping (even though several friends' horses have lost shoes on the same trails). It only takes a few seconds to put each boot on and is equally easy to take off, then just hose off before next ride. I also like that they fit through an entire trim cycle as my pony's feet grow quickly in the summer. No issues with rubbing and very few parts that can break or need adjusting.

Came off once and makes too much clomping noise

I love these boots! I have several pairs of Cavallos but, this style is definitely my favorite! The material is forgiving but doesn't stretch out. Unlike the leather simple boots, these stay true to size and are more secure around the pastern. My boy wears boots out to pasture EVERY day, rain or shine and he is very active (plays in water troughs too), these boots get an A+

I’ve had these for less than a year and there are already rips on the sides. I use them trail riding and recently started putting them on my horse at night since she’s barefoot and feet are looking bad. For the price I’d have expected them to last longer. My next ones will be a different brand to find something more durable.

Put on my horses ouchy hind feet. They went on easy and were quite secure. He was so much more comfortable out on the trail. He didn't mind riding in them at all. They have worn well on the 4-5 trail rides we've gone on. I used a mans dress sock (one that has either nylon or silk--not cotton) with the toe cut off to protect his heel bulb in case of rubs. This method seems to have worked well.As for getting the correct size, I highly suggest measuring on the cm scale as oppose to inches. Since my horse was close between two sizes, the cm allowed for precision.

Great boot, very easy to put on, stays in place, lightweight, highly recommend!
