This is a great entry-level micrometer for accurate metric measurements. But, the one thing it is missing is a proper vernier scale which would allow a clear reading of values past the second decimal point. I assumed all micrometers had them and was unhappily surprised to see this did not. It does look like the picture, but normally you would have a vernier scale on the back of the spindle that lets you line up a mark with a single digit from 0-9 to get a fine-tuned micro-reading. This does not have that part, only the rough scale on the front and thimble. I will be keeping it, as it is still a useful tool, but it does make reading it precisely a lot more slow and challenging.

This micrometer came with a certified calibration certificate and was easy to use. Made of high quality aluminum. The numbers were easy to read and was exactly what my sheet metal company needed for measuring light gauge metals.

This micrometer does exactly what it's meant to do i have other micrometers which I have had for many years and this one fills a measurement gap I do not use micrometers very often I use calipers the mitutoyo is a quality item

ミツトヨのマイクロは仕事でン十年と使ってますが精度、耐久性なんの問題もありません。 最近はデジタルがかなり普及してますし高精度なものだと1/1000ｍｍ単位表記のものもありますが、 手頃なサイズのこいつは非常に使い勝手が良いので重宝します。 バーニアの読み方や扱い方さえ会得すればアナログで1/100表記のこいつだって2/1000位は狙って測れますよ。 ただ老眼には勝てませんね(￣▽￣;)
