Well built, easy to build out, a lot of fun to use, and great customer service
First, DOF Reality has great customer service. Email them and you'll get a response right away. I had an early question during the shipping process and they were quick to respond and satisfy my need. As far as build quality, this thing is well engineered, and built to last. Assembly does take awhile, but if you use the video links they provide, it's actually a great way to get to know the ins and outs of the equipment and it was a frustration free experience for me. In total adding my wheel/pedals and HOTAS along with assembling the P3 was about 5 to 6 hours. The Simtools software was easy to install and use. If you are a PC gamer, or already have a non-motion race rig, you'll have no problem firing up the software and getting the DOF reality sim rig moving in no time. Shipping takes a bit I think in total I waited just about 3 weeks (Midwest U.S.). If you are in a non-motion rig now and you race/fly check out the games list and if your game is on it, and you've been thinking about moving up to a motion rig do it. It's worth it. Not quite as good as a real track car, but is as much fun, cheaper than keeping up a track car or owning a plane, and lets you get your racing/flying fix while enjoying a tasty beverage (and nothing but your ego can get hurt). Add a VR headset to this setup and it is even better. I've got nothing but positive things to say about the DOF Reality P3 motion simulator other than I wished I had done it a year ago when I first started watching videos about it.

UPDATE UPDATE
UPDATE: After working with them again this thing is awesome. I do suggest if you are serious about next level online racing, this is for you.I must be transparent, I did not buy thru Amazon, I purchased the DOF P3 direct. The material they used is top notch. Even the dang cardboard it was shipped in was high grade. Instructions were weak at best but thanks inside the instructions were links to You Tube video that was a life saver on construction. Thanks Sim Racing Garage, your the best. Then once completed is when the misery starts. Download software from another party, Sim Racing Studio App, which has worked hard to help by the way and even spent like two hours dialed in my system. We got it to work....for awhile. Now the "rig" can do maybe five laps then just moves in a direction for no reason and locks up. There is issue between the software and the motors. No one can fix. I will say this to potential buyers. If not for that it would be great. When it works its fun. I am disappointed about the "traction loss" aspect. It feel pretty late when it does work. Speaking of working, I have a motor that activated itself during the night the other night and will not unlock when I reset it. So its a large paperweight right now. I may reach out the software company this week. But for $3,700 it should not be this difficult. Also, I emailed DOF about issue, they said here watch these videos and or reach out to Sim Racing Studio. Yes, that was their customer support. In closing, you who think I'm just sour, I might be, it's a lot of money. But I do WANT it to work...badly. I think for this money there should be a joint call and dial into PC with DOF and Sim Racing Studio once a client has the construction complete and set it up for the client. And do a tutorial. I really didn't want to give a bad review, but felt I had to based on the investment. I will update if things change.UPDATE: 5/20/2022 Funny, I just received an email from DOF asking if I could update. Yes I can. Same situation. So let me explain more. If you as a new buyer have FB, you will have access to a huge community that may be able to help you if you have any issues with a rig from DOF. I do not, didn't know before purchase how valuable that might be. I will never have FB.....ever. With that said, the software company tried by "dial in" to look and see the issue. But DOF just say see FB community. For $4,000+ I still say that a computer novice like myself should have a support from bit that would say "hey, lets fix this and help get this rig working." Or, say hey for $150 we both can schedule a "dial in" get the motors parameters set to communicate with software and clients PC to a level where it can be a positive for a client. But all I have so far is "hey, you mind to update your review and star rating on Amazon?"...maybe later I can update more positive.

Tell your wife it will save money...
This machine will plaster a smile on your face. Not Inexpensive as toys go, but you really do get quite a bit for the money. The picture is a shock absorber. It should just come stock but they do offer it as an option. It saves motor gear and makes for a sweet ride. So order one if you do buy this. DOF has a nice community on FB. The support is top notch and visit to those pages will prove it. They even offer a FB page for non DOF simulators. They listen to feedback and make changes to manufacturing of machines based on it. My machine is doing yaw/slide on wheels not available 6 months ago because they listened and changed the design to make it tougher.Tell the wife your not out blowing engines or getting tickets to fill that need for speed. No meeting strange chicks or anything like that to worry about. Just in the backroom, on call if she needs you.1/19/22 UPDATEMachine is still working great. I keep forces turned down much lower then when I first got it. This chair can literally beat you into soreness again and again. The partnership of DOF and SimRacingStudios has been terrific. We can now share motion profiles right through the software via a built in cloud app. The tuning is like anything, the more you do it, the easier it gets. No brainiacs required. You can tune it from your phone while in game as part of a cheap software upgrade package. All the reviews saying their machine is unusable because of electronics......your so full of it! I have watched people who actually did have issues, have their issues fixed by buying electronic parts and such from Amazon instead of waiting for a shipment from Ukraine. DOF holds their hand the through the whole process. Point is, anyone can buy any part in the electronics. Extremely standard parts. That's why its so inexpensive. Its basically a packaged kit with off the shelf parts.

Decent
I got this simulator about a year ago for Christmasthe pros are:- the motion that the simulator gives is very good with a lot of strength.- It doesn't take up too much space for a 3dof motion sim.the con are however:- The mounting plate for the wheel should have had counter sunken holes for the screws because the screws that attach the plate to the rest of the sim dig into my wheel.- Also the overall structure that the wheel and shifter attaches to is very flimsy (especially if you have direct drive Wheel)
