An amazing transformation!
We had 1950s era painted steel kitchen cabinets that needed refreshing. We had accumulated some stainless steel appliances and I wondered if we could find a paint that looked somewhat like stainless. This product exceeded our expectations! Friends want to know where we purchased stainless cabinets. They all remark how beautiful the cabinets are. One neighbor (who is in the process of selling his house) said that we had raised the market value of our house by $20,000. I don't know about that but I do know that my bride is VERY happy! (Happy wife, happy life.) To get amazing results, you MUST follow all instructions to the letter. Watch the video several times to understand each step. Sand the cabinet surface with very fine paper. Use a good primer. Sand again. Surface imperfections will show. Practice on the inside of the cabinet doors to master the technique. Then transform your kitchen! This kit is for large appliances but we bought it because it came with the necessary rollers and micro-sponge which creates the brushed look of stainless steel. (The micro lines are not as fine as what one sees on real stainless but no one cares. The lines add realism and the result not look like "stainless" spray paint.). Four kits covered 18 cabinet doors (both sides) and 6 large drawers (outside only) with half a quart left over for touch ups.

Worth every penny!!!
I bought the refrigerator can for a dishwasher, exhaust hood, and oven. Plenty of left over paint. I could have gotten away with the kits designated for dishwasher and range, though the foam flat blade that comes with the refrigerator kit was a very helpful tool to get an even look on the dishwasher. 10/10 would use this again and recommend to anyone! Don’t hesitate. Buy for your DYI. If you use quality tape, prep as directed, and follow application instructions...you will come out with a quality finish. I will say that I found my third coat to have areas with heavier paint spots, so I sanded between the 3rd and 4th coat with 320 grit and then the 4th coat wears extremely smooth. Great product!

Not enough products + cheap foam roller covers.
The set was exactly what I wanted so I thought. Loved the fact it was latex vs an oil for easy clean up after each application. The bad part was the following; After applying each coat of base coat according to directions the foam roller fell apart. Needed to use the 2nd in closed foam roller cover for the top coats of the 2nd can of a sealer and it was to add some shine. Ran out of product painting only the front of the refrigerator. Went to a local paint store and they didn't carry anything for paint. Was able to purchase better roller covers then the foam. Also had to get a new plastic tray liner. Home Depot carries this but only on line found that out on a trip to the store for more products. They also didn't carry anything close to what was necessary to finish. Home Depot recommended a Restroleum. Bought the can and it took 2 coats. Looks much better than the kit. Expensive lesson learned.

Do Not Save Leftover paint
This paint did an amazing job on my refrigerator & even had enough left over to do the dishwasher. There was still some left that I thought I’d keep for touch ups, if needed. Well, the paint has held up extremely well on the surface it was applied to. No Complaints there. And this was over 6 months ago. This leftover can of paint was sitting on a shelf above my washer & dryer since that time. HOWEVER, upon arriving home tonight I heard a high pitched noise. To me it sounded possibly electrical. After flipping the breakers to Off for every thing on that side of the house we discovered the can of leftover paint was making the noise & the can was warm. Warm enough that the wood shelf if was sitting on was warm all the way thru. We removed the can from the house safely & went back out to check on it after 30min or so. The paint was bubbling at the lid. Im going to accept, at minimum, partial blame here. Chances are the lid may not have been secured completely. I didn’t see anything on this paint that says to dispose of unused paint. Doesn’t mean it wasn’t there, just that I didn’t see it. SO… Again the product itself did a fabulous job. But I don’t recommend saving any leftovers.

Amazing transformation of an almond color refrigerator
Our kitchen remodel included painting cabinets, new floor and painting our almond textured finish refrigerator to stainless steel finish. I bought the liquid stainless steel kit which came with roller, squeege and foam brushes, paint and top coat. I followed the directions step by step. I applied 5 coats of liquid stainless steel and 3 top coats. The mistake I made was ordering the Zinsser primer in spray can. In one of the pictures you can see I set up plastic sheeting to seal off the ref area. I gave myself a headache with the fumes and it provided an uneven coat with just one can. I should have bought paint primer in a can and rolled it on. After the fact I am not even sure I needed to prime the ref. I think a good cleaning would have been sufficient. The process of applying the liquid stainless steel was easy and fun. Definately follow the directions and apply thin coats in vertical motions only and then squeege off excess. I took the handles out to the garage and clamped them down and brushed them with same process of 5 paint coats and 3 top coats. I am so happy with the results! From start to finish I took 2 days to complete. Looks great and updated - and as the comedian Brian Regan would say, for $100 it keeps all our food cold. google 'Brian Regan refrigerator shopping' for a good laugh. I highly recommend this product.

I wanted to update my kitchen for cheap so buying new appliances was not an option. I had seen this product being used in several DIY youtube videos so I decided to try it myself. I absolutely love how my oven and cooker hood turned out! The application was pretty straightforward and almost three months later the paint still stays on. It's pricey but less than buying a whole new item. Delivery to UK was also pretty quick, about a week.
