Merriway BH03350 Cistern WC Diaphragm Inlet Valve Washer to Fit Torbeck Valves

Simple item but it worked a treat and the cistern fills up quietly and quickly again.

Not strong enough to stop water.

Pictured item ( matching original item ) did not match items delivered as had subtle differences. Plastic pins bent on arrival but could be straightened easily. Fitting not a problem but did not cure slow fill and hammering problem despite repeated attempts at fitting using one then the other as replacement. I think the problem was down to the plastic pin which came apart and got stuck in the housing. The original is vastly superior in quality ( surprise!). So I ended up buying a full replacement bottom entry valve and only using the telescopic piece ( stem valve float etc) for a perfect fix! Replacement Min qty x2 = £4.80, original spare x1 = £5.29, so opted for replacement valve = £16 just in case but successful in the end

Plastic pins do bend in the post, but straighten no problem. Mine arrived with plastic pin, so thought it was wrong type. Plastic pin removes easily to become older model. Fits easily and works a treat!

Basically it does what it says it does. Now our toilet is fixed my partner thinks he's a plumber. I'll give him his dues, he did a good job.
