Smith and Wesson 642 Airweight aluminum frame stainless cylinder
If its for 642 airweight, buy it. You wont be disappointed. Just empty the cylinder of the rounds first, pull old grips off the firearm, leave the factory pin because it's a Centennial series, slide the Hogue Tamer grip on. Once seated nicely, the last part may be a bit tricky till you figure out the best way to hold it all together, but you will want to put the cap on with the indent to the bottom with a .38 shell against the bench and push it all together. It doesnt really click into place but youll feel it grab. Super easy to repeat the process once successful. First Hogue I've installed and super happy with the fit, engineering and even the price. Hogue Tamer takes a bit more real estate in my pocket holster but the balance is hugely met with the more comfortable and stable grip. Under 40 bucks with tax, prime delivery got it to me in 12 hours-ish. I wanna keep writing but i gotta go sit in my easy chair and twirl some revolvers.

So Comfortable!
I got these for my 642 and they make a world of difference. The installation instructions were easy to follow and the grips went on easier than I thought they would. The gun fits my hand perfectly now. It's amazing what a difference these grips made.My pinky has a home now, granted not a large home but better than before when it would just dangle below the handle. It seems like I can get the sights on target quicker and smoother than before and I'm able to stay on target better during the trigger pull.Plus, I really don't think these grips hurt the concealability of the gun at all. They're not that much longer than the original grips and I didn't notice any printing when i had it in my iwb holster or in my pocket holster.I'm very happy with these.

Perfect Upgrade for the S&W Bodyguard 38
I always felt that the grip on the S&W Bodyguard 38 was too small. It's not long enough and the handle is quite narrow. It never felt very secure in my hand. Enter this Hogue Grip. I watched a few videos on youtube on how to install it. I had it installed in under 15 minutes. It was easy to do and makes a huge difference. Now the grip is wider and a bit longer so it fits comfortably in my hand. Highly recommend.A couple of installation tips: 1. Cut two rectangles from the plastic that the grip ships in and use those instead of business cards to slide between the frame and grip when you are sliding on the grip. 2. Use one of those 4 way screwdrivers, with the bit removed, to open up the end of the grip instead of using a shell casing as recommended in the directions. The screwdriver handle gives you plenty of leverage to open up the grip cap so it can easily pop on over the installed screw thing in the handle.

Way better than factory centennial grip
The factory grip on the 'Centennial' 442 is horrible. It made it a pain to shoot. To be honest, I didn't use the gun for 5 years because I didn't like the pain involved when using it. I put this grip on the gun and it made a world of difference. Felt recoil is reduced as well as recoil control. Follow up shots are faster on target. I almost sold this gun, but this grip changed my mind. Also fitment is perfect. This is the model for the 642/442 (hammerless). Install was relatively straight forward. Allows you to get a full grip without the pinky hanging off the edge.If you pocket carry, the grip is slightly longer, but not enough to hang out of your pocket. Can still be used for conceal carry, if that is your intention.

5 stars for fit and feel...4 stars for ease/difficulty of installation.
Maybe I'm just having a bad day, but I had a heck of a time getting these installed (and also removing the stock grip). I am female, so don't have as much strength in my hands, but it took me an hour to install these. I used all the correct tools, but it took me a good 20 minutes just to get the pin out of my old grips. Once it was out, I installed the new pin, which was pretty easy. Then I removed the "molars" inside the new grip and went about putting the new grip on. This is a bear. Make sure you follow the directions and use card stock or something to help slide the sides of the new grip over the body. It took me a lot of work and force to finally get them on all the way. Putting the end cap on wasn't quite as bad as I thought it would be, as I was expecting it to be difficult. I used a chisel to pry it apart and installed it as far as I could. Then I used a block of wood, set it down on the end cap, and put all of my weight into it. It took a couple of tries, but it did eventually seat. There wasn't a "snap" sound, as others have said, but everything is seated nice and snug with no gaps, so I believe it's fully seated. All of this being said, the new grips are installed and they feel wonderful in my hand. I have smallish (not tiny) female hands and my gun now fits perfectly in my hand. I never liked the stock grip. It's slippery and it feels like there is nothing to hang on to. It puts your trigger finger too far into the trigger space, which forces you to pull left when firing. I haven't shot with the new grips yet, but I can already tell this is no longer going to be an issue. The grips feel substantial and solid and they put my trigger finger right where it is supposed to be, naturally. I can't wait to bring it to the range and try it out! The last time we were at the range, I got a large blister in the web of my hand between my thumb and index finger from the recoil. I can already tell that won't happen next time.5 stars for fit and feel...4 stars because it was so difficult to install. The end result is a good, snug, fit and maybe it wouldn't have been so difficult on a different day.
