Waste of money and time.
To save you the burden of reading this I will summarize the book for you. Start a channel, find a niche, and post consistently. This book brings no more added information than their videos do, and honestly, I would simply suggest skipping the book and only watch their videos on Youtube. I honestly felt scammed and ask you consider spending your money on another book that will add value.

The science of YouTube Success
These guys have success on YouTube down to a science. No tricks or gimmicks, just solid strategies that have been proven to work in this exciting and rapidly changing industry. Newbies will be relieved to learn that contrary to popular belief, you don’t need a million subscribers to have a successful career on YouTube, if you use the multiple revenue sources they detail in the book, and veterans (like myself) will learn about some important and often overlooked areas that will help dramatically improve the performance of their videos and online business. While I’ve been on YouTube since 2006, it took me TEN YEARS to reach the one million subscribers milestone through countless hours of not just content creation, but also research, trial and error, and brainstorming with other YouTubers because in the early years there weren’t any strategists who knew what the best practices were, or who helped channels think outside the box and beyond just AdSense as a revenue source. But Sean and Benji have done their homework and if this book would have been available a few years ago, I’d probably have double the subscribers I have now.For YouTubers who’ve been grinding hard for years and think they know ‘the formula,’ there’s still some real gems in this book and it’s also very beneficial to be reminded of what you may already know works, but maybe aren’t actually doing (or doing anymore) because bad habits crept in or you’ve been stuck in a pattern and needed that little reminder to make some small changes that will make a big difference. Excellent book. These guys are the best in the industry.

NOT the Ultimate Guide...
So, I follow these guys and I thought I would buy this because I actually love their content. However, this book is not worth your time if you have been doing YouTube for awhile and have also watched most of the Video Influences and Think Media content. There is not much new in this book that I have not already learned from watching them and others on YouTube. With that being said if you are just starting out then it is a great help and covers the most important topics for beginners. The book does not take that deep dive for established creators, but beginners will find it helpful.I did pick up a few things for the book, so it was not a total waste, but I was expecting a lot more! This is NOT an ultimate guide, it's a novice guide for those who have not done any research yet. I was looking to get some more deep dive, in depth advice, training, and examples to go to the next level and this book failed in that regards.

Disapointed
Did not find one "Secret" in this book. Very basic and the info is very general. No secrets. All the info and more is available for free. Time waste. Save your money. Very hypedThe book is padded and filled with hype. Chapter One does not even start until page 27 - large text - very broad margins - double spaced - black pages - appendix - this book can be condensed to about 50 to 75 pages. Take out the small talk and there is nothing left. A comic book of marketing. Found nothing original. Found no "Secrets"

I was hoping these guys would write a book!
I have a national radio show and my YouTube content has been mostly just posting the audio of my radio shows with a single still graphic (although one short documentary I did has more than 700,000 views). Yes, people do 'listen' to radio shows on YouTube, but most of my listens are from iTunes downloads. I finally decided that I was largely wasting the opportunity on YouTube by using it for such a narrow purpose. I began watching some of Sean and Benji's videos a couple of months ago and got motivated to start creating videos that made more sense for YouTube. I am already seeing a huge spike in views and subscribers (even with short videos). One thing that really jumped out at me in the book was the idea that you don't do SEO AFTER you create the video, you do SEO first (before you decide to do the video in the first place). I don't do a lot of Amazon book reviews, but wanted to get one up quickly on this book as I think it will help so many people. I think these guys have a heart for helping people and that really comes out in their new book and their YouTube videos.Jim Paris

Youtube bible for the aspiring influencer
I posted my first youtube video back in 2013 and got videos that ranked. After awhile I got overwhelmed and lost my focus. I discovered Video Influencers through Benji's wife, Judy, which then introduced me to Sean and his Thinkmedia channel. Between Sean and Benji they sparked that excitement to restart and rebrand my channel but with meaningful focus. I received this book earlier than expected and I'm only on chapter 2 but it already has post it's throughout. The book is nothing less than expected and I already feel the gears in my head thinking deep on the whys. For anyone that needs encouragement or fear of starting this book is for you.

Too many secrets to list
It not just he algorithm and fast cash. Video Influencers helps noobs & pros to improve their game. Glad I bought this book in a well organized fashion. The book could have been longer & used more colorful stories. Great guys!!! I met them in person - the real deal & approachable.

Good basic intro for YouTube newbs and an easy read, but nothing new here
For the asking price this is a quick read (180 small pages, large print) that covers the basics of YouTube that the authors have repeated and expanded on over the last few years on numerous YouTube and LinkedIn videos. They’re engaging and have the gift of the gab, but the reality is that most of it is common sense and there’s little other than the tired repetition of the basics here ie- be passionate- work hard- it’s a marathon not a sprintI’m still looking for the secrets promised in the title. There is a lot of padding and, quite frankly, the boast given in online videos such as that with Gary Vanderchuk that it contains the results of interviews with a hundred successful entrepreneurs/influencers or that the authors spent four years writing it are total bull. Anyone with good YouTube channel experience could have written this inside a week.Truth is the authors have been selling the same info over and over again in video after video for several years now and there’s nothing new here. The formula for making money through selling education is well-known by now - give away 90% of your info for free in the hope of selling your online video courses promising even more (in truth giving very little more) for hundreds of dollars. That’s essentially what this book is about. It’s a model that’s worked time and time again for many businesses and is great for the savvy consumers who can get the good stuff pretty much for free without handing over the hundreds of dollars that effectively pay for all the work put into the free stuff (and this book) Just to get a bit more. This book is just the latest example of a loss leader designed to lure you in with promises of giving up your day job, earning a fortune etc if you just sign up with a few hundred dollars and work hard.I can’t knock it, especially when the presenters/authors are so engaging and work so hard to keep recycling the same basic information in such an engaging manner. But there’s little of real value here if you’ve watched more than a few basic videos on YouTube. The advantage is you’re getting it in one place in written form.Warning to UK purchasers. The book is so thin it has to keep referring to online free videos on YouTube to pad the “free stuff” out. Most of these videos, hosted on a web site for the book but simply embedded from YouTube, promise access to templates and other videos if you enter your email address and Amazon order number for the book, BUT the system only accepts amazon.com order numbers and Amazon UK order numbers will just stick you in a loop of “I don’t recognise that” errors and you will not have access.

Disappointing book, promised much delivered little.
Nothing new that anyone who already has a YouTube channel doesn’t know. Cannell has a knack for sales that’s undeniable, but the roadmap given here really is just the usual “find a niche, be consistent” general speel, you have all heard a thousand times before.

Want to learn how to reach the right people on YouTube? ...... Read this!
YouTube is a social media platform that most people don't understand in terms of it's potential. This book is for someone who is thinking of starting their own YouTube Channel, or someone who has already started but hasn't seen the growth they hoped for. It's well structured and well written by two people who have conquered more than one niche on the platform; Benji Travis with BenjiManTV and Sean Cannell with Think Media. They have interviewed over 100 successful YouTubers over the last 3 years on their Video Influencers channel, and have helped countless people (including myself) see results with their free content. It's fair to say these guys know YouTube and how to get the best from the platform as a creator. Will your channel be a success after reading this book? Well, that all depends on your level of commitment. You can either find your own way and learn as you go, or give yourself a head start by taking the time to read this book. I enjoyed this book and only wish it had been available 3 years ago!

The pro tips are a MUST read!
I've been a successful youtuber for just over a year now but was struggling with just why some of my videos get a huge amount of views while others really struggle. Found the answer in the pro tips! That alone made it worth the read. While it is certainly aimed more at beginners, there is still a lot of interesting ideas in there and does open your mind to new ways doing things and the inspiration to re-design your channel.

Brilliant for new starters
This book is brilliant for new starters. I have looked everywhere for a decent book with simple easy to follow information that took me through all the steps to where I want to be.For those who have said this is churning out the same old stuff they seem to have forgotten there are people who don’t know anything about YouTube or how to start up a channel. I can’t recommend this enough and I will be implementing everything on my new YouTube channel.Great thanks to Sean and Benji
