Feel Like James Bond
I, like most reading this review, assumed that there was little to know about taking a cold shower. Seems simple; turn shower to cold, step in, run out screaming. But really there is so much more to it, and it is great for your health. Having more energy and boosting testosterone are just some of the benefits this book talks about. This book is packed full of information and I definitely recommend it. Do yourself a favor, grab this book, and take your health to the next level.

This is an excellent resource for people wanting to try cold showers.A pocket guidebook for cold showers.Recommended for "experts" too.

nice read
It was a quick read with few facts. While I like the author, this book could have been a free blog post. Not worth the money.It basically provides few benefits, breaks some myths and suggests adding few min of cold showers to the daily routine.

`Feel energized and more alive than ever'
Scott James is a friend. Though we may not know him personally we do know him through his many books on nutrition, flexible dieting, juicing, cross training and more: he is likely as responsible as any coach out there for the growing emphasis on heath and well being. One of the reasons his writing is so helpful is that it is immediately accessible and user friendly. Scott goes for results and does not dawdle our time away with a lot of interesting but, in the long run, skipped over scientific data. He is a pragmatist and he seems to want to share what he knows with us to help us grow in health, mind, body and spirit.In his introduction Scott states `It has long been known that cold showers and baths can affect the body in positive ways. Cold water therapy has been around for quite a while now but due to innovations of modern medicine, it has been almost forgotten. Since holistic care has made a comeback in recent years, the use of cold water therapy has also seen a return into people's lives.' He goes on to debunk certain myths about cold showers (they cause colds and flu, hypothermia, speed up sobriety, dampen libido, etc) and then discusses the history of hydrotherapy and the use of cold water in treating patients, the science behind Cold Showers (antidepressant effect, enhanced anti-oxidative defense, increase white blood cells and thus fight infections, reduce response to painful stimuli, and more.The health benefits of Cold Showers are enumerated: improves blood circulation, strengthen the immune system, foster healthier skin and hair, supports diminishing stress, weight loss and improved metabolism, combats depression and enhances mood, increases energy, improves breathing, reduces inflammation, and supports better sleep. Some aspects of the benefits of Cold Showers apply to men only - increase sperm count and motility, increase testosterone, and increase strength among others.Scott then takes us through the preparation of adapting to taking Cold Showers, listing precautions, wither jump right in or elect to start gradually. Poorly written
The information in this book is interesting but not at all well substantiated. Also, there are a number of typos/dropped words/wrong words. The icing on the disappointing cake was the bit about menstruating women being too delicate for cold showers due to the hormones that "wreck havoc." I'm just glad I read this through Kindle Unlimited rather than paying for it.

Good information
Good information! I love my cold showers in the mornings, I feel energized and happy. I also jump in a cold pool with no hesitation , the feeling afterwords is great , simply you feel alive!

A terrible waste of time. Its just a lot of random opinions with little or nothing to back them up.

Explains everything really simple and well
The subject its important and helpful to anyone.Cold water therapy help the body healing quicker after a hard workout to avoid soreness and pain.Help to loose weight, etc!

I've read the benefits, but........
This book gives plenty of reasons why I should take a cold shower and I will try the method of starting hot them reducing the temperature. Whether or not I keep going is down to me and how soft I've become with all my modern comforts. But this book convinced me to try so give stars

Fantastic and insightful book, I didn't realised changing something so trivial in my daily routing could have such a big effect on my well-being.

Livro curto, leitura rápida, o livro mostra de forma bastante resumida sem muitas referências os benefícios e as vantagens de se tomar banho gelado. O conteúdo é interessante, mas não acho que um livro é o melhor formato.
