For the "I'm a big girl" girl
If your girl is motivated by the idea of being a "big girl" this is the book for her. No mention of pottying. it's all about being a big girl and wearing big girl panties that mommies, grandmas and aunties wear and not. Only babies wear diapers. Colorful and cute pictures. My 13 month old likes reading this on the potty.

Hard pass.
The gendered underwear felt creepy and unnecessary. “Underwear” would have sufficed. I thought it was only in the title or a couple pages of the book which is why I bought it but the word “panties” skeeves me out and is on basically every page.In our house we use anatomically correct words for our body parts and don’t use other words for girls’ underwear. If your house is similar to mine, I’d suggest finding another book.

FAVORITE potty training book
UPDATE April 2016:Now that my toddler is an almost 3.5-year-old and we have (mostly ;-) successfully made it through potty training, I just wanted to give an update that this book, as well as "Potty" Potty (Leslie Patricelli board books) , continued to be favorites and kept us on track during all of potty training over the past two years. The story is simple and silly, and it doesn't just focus on the traditional potty training themes, but puts emphasis on the privilege of getting to wear big girl panties. It pairs well with the potty training approach of emphasizing keeping undies dry (vs. not getting them wet) — so it makes the statement positive vs. negative. A favorite page in the book states that babies, teddy bears, alligators etc. can't wear panties, only big girls can — my toddler loved this, I think because it made wearing panties/using the potty special vs. a chore. She also really liked the pages that state that "mommies, grandmas and aunties wear panties" — I think because she liked seeing the relation to other "big girls."Especially during the more challenging potty training moments, when my toddler would refuse to look at other potty training books entirely, she still got a laugh out of this one (and "Potty" mentioned above), so I would say this book was a great tool in keeping my toddler interested in potty training by making it more fun.I don't know how much of this can be attributed to this particular book, but picking out undies for the day is still a favorite activity for her and a great motivator to get out of bed and get dressed :-) I also give her undies as gifts for birthdays and holidays, because she is still really excited about them and unwrapping these she gets the same sparkle in her eye as unwrapping a toy.ORIGINAL REVIEW:My 19-month old is enamored with this book and studies it very closely every time we read it. The story is very relatable (showing saying bye to diapers, only big girls wear panties and babies wear diapers, etc.) to get started on potty training and the illustrations are cute and engaging.

Great book, has worked on 2 stubborn toddlers!
This book has been a lifesaver for our family, so much that we've bought it twice! Our first daughter didn't want to give up the "security" of her pull up to wear panties. After just one reading, she was excited to start wearing them. Our second daughter was a nudist, so we bought this book again (gave the first to friends) and she will willingly keep panties on.What helps so much is the silly rhymes that as easy to remember. The girls liked pointing to which panties they wanted to wear in the book and loved the part of the book that asked if they were a big girl

Sweet, simple and motivating!!
I was browsing Amazon looking for books to encourage my almost 3 year old to want to potty train. After reading about this book, I decided to give it a try. My little girl loves it!! She's doing excellent with potty training because of it too. She loves to have me read it to her while she sits on the potty and keeps asking me to wear panties everyday!! She now wants to be a big girl and has no desire to go in her diaper anymore!! Thank you, thank you!!

Fun Read - 21 Month Old Daughter Loves It
Super cute book. My 21 month old daughter loves it. Ever since we got it she wants to read it over & over again. She is not potty trained yet, (it's a work in progress) but I feel it's helping her get excited about wearing panties instead of diapers. I would totally recommend this to any girl about to go or going through potty training or very recently potty trained. The book does not talk about using or going to the potty, it's more saying goodbye to diapers and hello to panties.

Helpful with potty training my toddler
This book has been really helpful the past few weeks when i've been trying to get my toddler to use the potty. She gets excited about reading this book. Like, really excited. When I give her five books to read, including this one, she chooses this one first. Then we move on to another book, and halfway through she wants to read this book again. She's been doing a good job going potty and repeats sentences in this book.

Put your big girl panties on
My girls recently went through potty training, and we tried many different things to help with the process. We did rewards, potty training dolls, videos, etc.We purchased some cute My Little Pony Panties and purchased this book. At first, my girls really didn't put 2 and 2 together, but as they progressed, they started to understand. The thing they enjoyed most about the book was saying "No" when asked if babies or crocodiles wear big girl panties.A nice short book that may help some feel pride in wearing big girl panties (and thus making pee and poop on the potty)

The page suggesting big girls wear panties at night was a little confusing!!
It wasn't great, but my daughter likes it.Do you wear pants at night? It suggests big girls do!!Some clear Americanisms, but since my daughter can't read I just said nappies, not diapers.

For panty wearers. Not still in diapers or pull-ups
This is a good book but it’s for girls who are *already wearing panties*. This book is good to encourage panties being fun. If your child is aspiring to wear panties I wouldn’t recommend it since it says “do you wear panties? Yes you do! Because you are a big girl too!” And if your kid is still in diapers this might be confusing or make them think they aren’t a big girl yet since they don’t yet wear panties. I used training pants which obviously weren’t panties to potty train so it didn’t work for us.

Cute book, quite happy.
Great little book, I like how it doesn't talk about the potty, it's focus is the title.I trained my daughter to use a regular toilet with just a step stool to reach, so a book that didn't glorify the use of little potties was fantastic! And now she feels proud to say She wears big girl panties too. It is adorable.

Great!
My daughter LOVES this book! At first I was underwhelmed by it when I read it myself and kinda threw it aside for a while. A few weeks later I took it out to read to her and I made it like a song. She made me read it over and over. I read it six times in a row and then went to the kitchen to get a drink and she was “reading” out loud (she can’t read she’s only 2yrs old) she already had it memorized! It’s a fun book and totally worth the purchase!

Cute book
My 2.5 year old daughter loves this book. I giggle because she memorized the page about babies not being able to wear panties and everytime we put on big girl panties she recites that line. Very cute and I think will help with potty training
