My Cuban black beans had 2-3 beans. You can see in the photo it is just liquid. I was looking forward to this flavor too!

Tastes good (actually superb) and all ingredients look good too, but beware, if you eat 1 pouch of the chickpea, that's pretty much 50% of your recommended sodium daily intake. Other varieties are marginally better, clocking in around 40% for the full pouch.

Packaging was great unfortunately where are the beans? There were 6 beans in my pouch and the rest was liquid . Not too sure how that could happen but wish I got some beans :(

Who writes a review about beans? Somebody who loves beans but had given up on them, until now. This is a great product. Canned beans from my local supermarket are always a disappointment so I stopped getting them. I don't have time to cook beans myself but A Dozen Cousins beans are fresh and taste terrific. I am trying to eat healthier and these are a great way to do that. I've been trying to avoid packaged, processed foods but the natural ingredients make these different. I can feel good about eating them. The beans are whole and not mashed up liked in cans. All of the varieties are seasoned well and versatile. I've had them on their own, in salads and in wrap sandwiches. I'm really happy to have found these and hope they continue to add new flavors and products. Do yourself a favor and order some. You won't regret it.

This is a very delicious variety of beans to add to or supplement your meals. I only have had 3 or them and while I haven't had the black beans yet (which people commented "where's the beans"), the others I have had had plenty of beans--tasty and so convenient. As far as the sodium, that others have remarked about--of course packaged, shelf stable products are going to be higher in sodium than if you made them yourself from scratch but it's the price of convenience, I guess. I would never eat the entire package. My husband and I split a package as a side dish or included in burritos or rice.

The beans are super flavorful and very easy to make. Delicious addition to a meal to amp up the health impact (e.g. I threw some on top of a salad) or amazing base to build a meal around (e.g. tortillas, cheese, beans & veggies last night). The flavors are a really nice blend of spices and I love that it is made with avocado oil too. Just great!!! Pic is of some Huevos we made this AM with the Mexican Cowboy Beans - yummy!

These packets are packets of deliciousness that my table has need to break up the flavor rut I have been in lately. The variety pack is great and allows for trying more flavors so I know which ones to buy individually. The good news is that they are all amazing so I will be buying the variety pack from now on.Do not be afraid to try foods from places new to you. It will really open your mind to new and exciting flavors that you might otherwise not know existed. The prices might seem high but realize to serving size and that you are supporting a small low production business. A plus is that you won't have ingredients listed that look like some chemical you don't want. This is good for you ingredients.The Cuban Black Beans are my favorite but they are all top-notch.Support Small Business and you support working families.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this product as I don't normally eat a lot of packaged beans. I'm trying to eat less meat and I was pleasantly surprised at the powerful punch of flavor and heartiness of the dish. I doctored the mexican cowboy beans with some brown rice, cheese, avocado and cilantro and bam, I had the most delish, satisfying lunch that didn't leave me feeling heavy or in a food coma. It had just the right amount of heat and the tomatoes tasted like they were picked fresh from the vine. I look forward to trying the other 2 flavors.
