Do these contain any kind of chemical? Can they be used by adult for night time bladder leakage?

These wouldn’t be suitable for bladder leakage as they are not overly absorbant they are best used for winding babies

are they very absorbent? I have very old absorbent muslin (used as nappy !) and looking for some new ones to use in the kitchen

Yes they are very absorbent, but I'm not maybe due to the amount of washing the muslin cloths are going through with my new born twin but they are starting to lose their softness and are bubbling around they sides.
