How long is battery life

Depends on usage. With zones active and having the system on around 20 hours per day, my front cameras would last around a week due to the amount of activity. Cameras at rear of the house lasted at least 3-4 for the same 20 hour active window.

Can I record locally?

The minimum USB drive size is 16 GB and the maximum size is 2 TB. Can you record to both local storage and the cloud simultaneously?

Dear Amazon Customer, Thank you for your question. If the local storage is activated, all the recordings will be saved on the Cloud and the USB device at the same time. If ever the Internet connection goes down, the camera continues to record only to the USB device. All the manual recording are saved to the Cloud, never to the USB.
