I ordered a big “kit” for the kids to make tons of pot holders but it didn’t include the “needle” or the loom so needed to find something quick. This was PERFECT!I came across this and for the price, I was extremely impressed that it came with EVERYTHING. It had the “needle”, the threading and the loom.The threading is slightly on medium side of thickness. It does stretch, but some were a bit tougher than others. The colors of the threading were so bright and beautiful.It was extremely easy to use and the kids had fun. Tying off the pot holders were a bit difficult for the kids, so I did have to help finish it, but they still had fun.

This gift is just a perfect project for any kiddo.

I read quite a few reviews on here before choosing which weaving loom to purchase. I was purchasing for my 5 year old daughter and needed one that would be relatively easy to use. I remember having one of these when I was little and at one point my parents bought me a refill of loops but they were a cotton material, not a nylon material like these, and they were really hard to use because they didn't have as much stretch to them. I was hesitant to buy the nylon ones however after reading the reviews, because others had mentioned that you can't actually use the nylon ones as potholders because they will melt. But seeing as the ultimate goal in purchasing a weaving loom for my daughter was to give her a fun project to do, I decided to go ahead with this loom with the nylon loops and I'm very happy that I did. The nylon has a lot of stretch to it, so it's easy for my daughter to do, and we actually have not had a problem using the nylon loops to make functional pot holders. They haven't melted on us yet!

Bought as we have neighborhood kids visiting our great grandson. Has kept them entertained, both the boys and girls. Had to buy another one and refill kits. 😆

I forgot how much fun and relaxing it is to loom. It is great for ages 7+. My 5 year old also loves it though he is more engaged in picking the colors. There are also a lot of things you can do with the loops - potholders, headbands, bracelets, etc. could be used as presents for family from kids.I would have preferred a metal loom, but the plastic one works well. I broke the hook after several potholders were made, which was frustrating.

This is a fun project to do with my grandchildren. Something I take with me in the car so they don’t get bored.

Wonderful project for rainy day during spring break. 7 year old got hang of weaving pretty soon. Just gets tricky to do last row due to tension in the loop. Fun project to keep kids busy for hours. End product is more like a coaster than potholder.
