Super Easy Installation - Great Camera, plus Amazing Customer Service!
I just finished setting up this camera outside my 90+ yr old father-in-law's front door. We wanted to give him a little more security & peace of mind. The set up could not have been easier. The app did everything it was supposed to do and connected quickly. I added the app to both my phone & my wife's. The video is amazing and the audio is great. Very short connection time to view any motion at his door. This is a great little camera!Update after 2 months: Camera is still working great with no issues. A few days ago it started sending us messages that the battery was under 10% (not bad for 2 months). So I used step ladder to climb up & plug it in. Within 6 hours it was charged to 96%. Hopefully that's the only time I'll have to do that.I had claimed a bonus gift of a free solar panel that was offered when we received the camera to keep it continually charged. Although the seller has had a hard time getting in enough solar panels to fulfill the demand, they were really good about keeping me informed. They recently let me know that it would be a while still, but offered to make it right by compensating me with Amazon credit to purchase one. I gladly accepted their generous offer and just ordered one through Amazon. I am a VERY happy customer!

Simple to install; Connects easily
The media could not be loaded. This is the third battery powered wireless camera product I've bought from IE GEEK. The Cloudedge app is very easy to download and it runs me through the setup of the camera, including telling me if where I'm installing it has enough wi-fi signal. (I'm using an iphone for the app but it says it works with android as well - my experience with the app is via iphone FYI) There is an insert spot for an SD card; and recently I discovered they also sell solar power units which will plug into these and keep the battery charged. They also do have a cloud recording service but I haven't been able to figure out how much it is, or if I'd use it rather than the SD card. The main difference would be that if I'm away from home, I can't see recordings on my SD card, of course, but I could if it was recorded to the cloud. If I am away, I CAN see a 20-40 second recorded clip of a motion alarm however - that seems to be enough to know whether to worry or not. The app allows you to set up how you want to be alerted for motion (email, text, how often, how long of a recording, times to monitor). And you can always see a live view of your camera no matter where you are in the world (a picture shown from my phone attached). It alerts me fairly immediately of any movement, and I can turn off alerts with the touch of a button in the app - i.e. if I'm home and I don't want to be alerted every time my dog is out in the yard, I can turn it off. The images seem clear enough to identify people, in daytime and at night! Good product and I'll update this review in 6 months to let you know about battery life/solar panel use.

UPDATE
Great night vision and picture quality. I bought a $300 camera bundle from another company on package and they stopped workingAll that money spent for them to stop working after a month i was furious. I found this camera and at the price you seriously cannot beat the quality and value you get with it. Buy it! You won’t regret itUpdate. Battery on camera won’t charge anymore. Forget this camera period

Wow you can spy on what your neighbors are discussing
This camera has the most amazing microphone, I can hear conversations that my next door and neighbors are having from from across the street. I can also hear conversations from people who are walking on the street. Motion detection can use some improvement. I set the sensitivity at high but it does not capture movements when subjects are walking towards the camera at regular pace unless you walk very slowly, it captures one lazy cat waltzing slowly across the driveway every morning but it does not capture the family of racoons that race across the driveway every night which my other camera, installed next to it, picks up. I think this might have to do with the camera having to wake up and missing the action when subject walks towards the camera. It seems like you have to be around 6 to 8 feet from the camera for it to detect the motion so each day, I don't see the mail carrier walking to my mailbox which is below the camera but I see him walking away.Images can be clearer, they are grainy even during the day, unless the subject/object is very close, like 5 feet if viewing on live, unable to see features on person and unable to zoom in when viewing event. I have yet to capture any subject's face as the recording seems to happen only when someone is walking away from the camera, probably has to do with the camera having to wake up. I have 2 other brand cameras and they have the zoom in feature when viewing events. There is no option for continuous recording so not sure why one would need 128 GB storage card. Also night vision is decent but images are not very clear. One thing worth noting is that the magnetic ball mount would come off if you try to adjust the camera is the camera is hooked to the tiny screw that was provided. In order for the mount to remain on the screw, the screw head needs to be wider in diameter and I would think you need 2 screws to hold it on place. After having it fall off 3x I gave up and used the metal mount to secure the camera. It would be nice if the base of the metal mount were standard size so I don't have to drill so many holes in the wall. With regards to the position of the micro SD card slot, it is an awkward position as it is so close to the lip that if one wanted to remove the micro SD card, one would need long fingernails or a tweezer to pull it out after ejecting the micro SD card. My nails were no long even but luckily I had an eyebrow tweezer readily on hand.Battery life is great, I have the camera on for 10 days and it still says 100%, so I am not sure if this is accurate.

Broke down
IP camera cannot power up despite charging and taking out the SD card as advised by the help desk. Only used it from June 2021.

Good quality but you can't view motion detected footage without an sd card
Picture quality is really good, software is very user friendly and quick and easy to set the camera up. Live View is great, you can record your own clips and take your own snapshots. It's very easy yo share access to the device with other people. Night vision is pretty good quality from what I can see. The only things I don't like so far is the motion detection and the fact that you can't view motion detected footage without an sd card. In the photo, I walked past 3 times and it only took that picture when I walked right up to the camera but even then, what's the point of having an image of someone 15 seconds before they walk in front of the camera? I'll see what it's like when I get an sd card but the jury is still out on the effectiveness of this camera.Edit: motion detection is vastly improved with an sd card as it is now recording motion detected footage. It's still a bit slow to trigger which means that someone will be almost out of shot by the time it starts too record but its only a few seconds too slow. Its also not recoding any night time footage and I know its "triggering" because I walked in front of it last night and it "woke up" it just didn't record anything. All in all a decent camera with some aspects that could be improved but still worth the money

Not waterproof. The store tried to treek me into avoiding refund/replacement.
The camera stopped working after 6 months of use. I found that, despite being outdoor/waterproof, the camera stopped working because it was full of water. I contacted the store and was told that this is another store now than the one where I bought the camera from. Really? They gave me an email address to contact iGeek support. Here is the reply from iGeek:"Thank you very much for your efforts. We're really sorry that our suggestions didn't solve the problem well. Hope you can accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience our camera caused you.We want to send a replacement to you, but since the store where you bought the camera is out of stock right now, we can't reissue it to you. After a long period of communication with the superior, we tailor-made several options for you to choose from:1. According to your situation, the final result is to provide a 15% refund for your order. This result is what I tried my best to get for you.2. Or you can reorder the product and I will apply for a 20% refund for you. But need to provide a receipt for the new order, I will apply for you immediately after confirmation. We attach great importance to user experience, but hope that you can kindly understand our difficulties. May I know is acceptable for you? Or if you have a better suggestion, please feel free to let us know. Thanks for your understanding.Looking forward to hearing from you.Best regards,ieGeek service"Both options are a joke. The cameras are still available in-store, so they tried to trick me into avoiding replacement/refund. It took me 2 months to get zero results from them.Fortunately, Amazon's customer service accepted the return and issued a refund. I will avoid dealing with this store or iGeek again!

Good Price/quality ratio
For the price, this camera covers all the angles. It is very easy to set up, and instructions on the App pop up at each step to guide you through. We find the detection of movement perfect for our purposes, and does not set off on the slightest pretext. Its sensitivity can be controlled from the App. The App itself is intuitive, and easy to use. For a well positioned camera, which does not ping off due to poor positioning, and if a live feed is not viewed constantly, the battery can last as long as advertised. A solar panel is also available at a reasonable cost for additional charging. A seven day trial on cloud storage is offered apparently free of credit card details being initially given. (Where has that happened before!? ) Perhaps the best aspect of purchasing this camera is the quality and speed of customer service. Help is promptly given through email, often within the hour. You are not abandoned once you buy the product, which sadly is so often is the case.

Good to watch wildlife but inconsistent performance (especially sound)
If you turn off the human detection this is quite good for recording wildlife activity in the garden but there are limitations to this camera, I've briefly listed them to help you pick.Sound - two of my three cameras have significant periods where there is lots of noise feedback meaning I have to mute them. I've not identified if this is a product quality issue or something else yet but it's annoying. I have sent a few back because of this sound issue but have decided to accept it now because I enjoy the footage anyway.Picture - quality is OK on smaller screens, can vary but is more than acceptable for what I want. Daytime or nighttime footage is fine.Motion detection - tends to pick up a few false movements, these can be reduced by lowering sensitivity. Good though if you receive an alert for movement and then watch live continuous footage.Recording - Records onto micro sd card OK but max record time is 30 seconds (wish there was a user defined option). If there is prolonged activity it makes multiple recordings but there will be small gaps between them. If you are watching live you can manually record any length of video clip you want, it's just automatically activated recordings which are limited.Saving clips - can only be saved onto phone or device you have app installed on and is a bit fiddly (difficult to get the very start of a clip saved). Easy enough to share with others once you learn how to though.Connectivity - generally OK, loses connection sometimes but that may be partly to do with my WiFi (although I think I've got reasonable coverage). Easy enough to give access to other family members so they can watch the footage on their own device.Battery is good, lasts quite a few days with heavy live viewing and playback.Storage - I think a 128gb card would hold many many hours of footage, definitely no issue there. For £50 (they seem to have regular offers at this price) I think it's acceptable for personal use and I accept the sound issues and other limitations given the low cost.Think it would be OK as a cheap security camera but unless you subscribe to the cloud option you would not have any footage if they stole the actual camera too as the recording is all on the SD card inside the camera!
