This item is cute but you get what you pay for. If you want a decorative trinket to go with a nautical them, it’ll do. The metal plates were crooked and didn’t lay flat. I had to remove the tiny nails, flatten out the metal pieces and reattach. Cheaply made!!!!

Compass didn't work at all

This looked great for a gift I wanted to give a coworker as a going-away commemorative. Item shipped fast and arrived quickly. Unfortunately, as the photos will show, the box is poorly constructed and fairly 'cheap.' The lid doesn't sit flush with the base and it leaves a gap; secondly, when I opened the lid, all of the instruments inside were rattling around and the compass seemed like it wasn't even glued down. And I am not sure if it matters much, but the instruments weren't made of brass - they seemed more like a cooper-alloy material. Had to return it for a refund. Pretty disappointing.
