Q: What is the largest size bit it will take?

The largest sds bit I have been able to find is 1 3/8 (trade size 1 inch emt hole) however in doing some digging product specifications specify 5/8 inch max bit still size

Q: How well does it work with ground rod driver

I would say very well. Used a Bosh bit. 8 foot rod going into wonderful Mizzou red clay. Took about 2 minutes. I did add a little dish soap and water out of habit.

Q: Has anyone used this with core bits?

2.5 inch holes thru 12 inch poured concrete with # 4 bar . 3 holes 1/2 hour each and bit looked like new . Tried bits made by CO-Z worked perfect had also bought Bosch bit just in case and returned it
