Is the price for ONE collar $50? Am I understanding this correctly?

I can't afford to buy 4 of these so I'm considering the cheaper knock off "Salvo" I really don't want to buy this other brand because I've heard some dogs have bad reaction to the knock off but I seriously don't have $200 for 4 dogs!! We are in FL we always have fleas!! Plus Salvo comes 2 pack so it even got cheaper... should I try this other brand? Or maybe if you are reading this Bayer... you could make these much more affordable especially since there is competition and not to mention dogs are going to suffer because low income families can't afford your price tag to care for their pets. I know I have 1 or 2 too many dogs but I love them and they get the best of everything that I can afford and believe me I've done my research on everything to get them everything they need for as inexpensive as I can manage to find.

Has anyone used this collar on tiny runts AND thickly furred 20+lb long-haireds? Is it equally effective for both?

I've got 4 cats wearing this collar: 1 16 lb. Maine Coon, 1 15 lb. dom. short-hair, 1 12 lb. dom. short-hair, and 1 9 lb. long-haired cat. This is their second set of these collars and they're all indoor-outdoor kitties, plus I live in a heavily wooded area. No ticks, no fleas whatsoever since they started wearing them and there have been no skin problems or irritation at all on any of them. The collars are made to break if they get caught on something.

Why is the $54.00 collar in a different can than the $36.00 collar? Is the less expensive one a copycat version and is it safe?

I purchased from an eBay seller and it turned out to be a fake. Good price at $35 when I bought the two I needed. I knew something was wrong right away because they smelled very strong of moth balls. all were sealed, but for the past 3 years, buying mostly from well know companies like Petco and PetRX, I've never smelled anything and they've worked wonderfully! I called the 800# for Seresto, they took all of the info from my cans and determined that they were knock offs. They send me a return authorization form and shipping label and are sending me two new collars for supporting the investigation. I'll never try to go that cheap again. I have to buy collars quicker than they're sending them because of the weather, but they assure me they have a shelf life of 5 years if unopened. It's a far better investment than the topical, which is messy, is hard to put on a cat, and that they lick off of each other which worries me. I love these collars and really appreciate the attention and service that Seresto gave me today. hope this helps. it's the first time for me getting caught up in an internet fraud.

2 of my cats lay on top of the comforter and the 3rd one likes to snuggle around my neck under the covers. Is that safe for me? Direct contact to me.

I've been using these on my cats for 6 years and we have problems. Before Seresto my cat with flea allergies was in horrid shape. Now she's flea free.
