Q: If PVC pipe is used in the well house, can this be attached using that type of pipe and fittings

I used silicone gasket compound on the fittings that screw into the filter housing instead of teflon tape to make sure they would not leak. I purchased a Culligan mounting bracket to help support the filter housing since the pipe is cpvc. I also added by-pass valves and pipe so that if I need to replace the filter housing I will still have water. A few dollars more, but I will always have water.

Q: Can be installed outdoor?

I installed mine outdoor but I built a small 'closet' around it to protect it from freezing temperatures AND from the sun since UV typically degrades plastic.

Q: what pressure drop can I expect with a new filter

I have a pressure gauge after the filters, which I have 2, a 5 micron and then a 1 micron and there is no pressure drop. It has 55 psi coming in to my house and 55 psi after both of the filters. The only time I notice a drop is when they get dirty. The 5 micron filter is usually good for 90 days and the 1 micron filter is usually good for 6 months. The pressure drop is never more than 5 psi.

Does not come with a mounting bracket

This filter does not come with a mounting bracket unfortunately so will have to do some fabrication. Other than that it seems like a decent whole house water filtration unit.I like the clear bottom so you can see the filter 👍🏻

Clear Container a Plus

A whole house filter is not something to get excited about. But, this one has two features that are very important and they work. 1. You can shut it off when removing the filter container. You don't need to add another turn-off valve into your system. And, 2. it is clear, so you can easily see when you need to change filters. No guessing.

Exelente oroducto.

Es un exclente portafiltro lo recomiendo, cumple muy bien con su funcion y es facilmde instalar, el unico pero quenle.encuentro es que no incluya la base para fijarlos y no hay en existencia. Pero cumple.connsu funcion y no le afecta solo haybque tener ingenio.
