Where do i get a lid to cover after the fermentation is complete? i really can't use this until i have one that fits! thank you.

I don't leave the fermented products in it. I then make hot sauce and put it into something else. Most of the fermentation is a salt brine that isn't kept, at least in what I am doing.

Do wide-mouth mason jar lids with rings fit this jar?

I don’t think so. The opening looks too big. Mine came with the lid and the little gas escape valve. It worked great last year and in fact, I just filled it today with cabbage from my garden to make sauerkraut.

What size (diameter) is the hole in the lid?

The actual hole is small, about 10mm? There is also a rubber seal that fits into the hole which the syringe fits into. Then the syringe has a relatively airtight seal. It's in use or I would measure it.
