Q: Why does it seems to fluctuate? Sounds like the machine is about to explode? Is that what you called the multiple power levels? Is this normal??

I really don't know but it takes a long time to heat anything. I have another microwave from Kenwood which takes only 30 seconds to heat anything steaming hot! This one takes longer to heat even a cup of soup and I've noticed its got a dent on the door so most probably it must've been dropped or mishandled. But its not the
