The adapter worked
Held both the HDD and an SSD in the same space that the hdd once occupied. Liked the steel and correct screws needed to hold it in place. The screws fit the holes in the drives perfectly. Only needed finger tip tightening but used “Easy Out” liquid on the screws to ensure a firm hold.

Server install
Put this in our server. Easy to install and works as it should. Good price.

Should work great for most people, but didn't suit my needs all that well
I have a couple of unique issues that make these brackets less than perfect for me. The first issue is one that I don't really fault the brackets for, and that is the drive placement. Despite all of the slots and holes for the 3.5" device (a HDD in my case), there's really only one place the drive can go that makes sense, and it's quite a bit further back than I would like it to be. This is only an issue because my case is so small, otherwise the back of the HDD lines up almost exactly with the 5.25" drive in the bay above where I'm using these brackets. The position should be perfect for most people. The reason I'm giving this product 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the threads for the mounting screws. Most 5.25" drives have fine threads, but these brackets are threaded with course threads. This wouldn't be much of an issue if it weren't for my case, which has special screws for mounting devices in the 5.25" bays. Obviously I can't use the special screws because they have the usual fine threads. The brackets are also a bit narrow, and flex outward quite a bit when fastened in place. Good product overall, just not made to be used in anything but the most common mounting scenarios.

Simple, cheap, and gets the job done.
If you need to mount a regular 3.5-inch hard drive in an empty 5.25-inch drive bay, this is probably the simplest and cheapest way to do it. There are lots of fancy brackets available, including some that provide hot-swapping capabilities or which cram in two hard drives in the same space. However, the vast majority of people are simply looking to install a single extra hard drive, and these brackets are a great way to go. You simply attach them to the sides of hard drive with the provided screws, and mount the drive/bracket combo just as you would a second optical drive. It's a five-minute job at most, and it couldn't be easier.

Just so-so for my need
I wasn't a fan of these as they are brackets (plural) and a little more difficult to use than a full size bay mount. For example, screwing in the screws to mount to the brackets proved to be a challenge.

Completely met the need at a great price.
No drama or frills, just works. Simple design with easy adaptability to a wide variety of install situations at a great price. Allowed me to remove two massive hard drive cages that were blocking airflow and install the drive in an open CD/DVD slot at the top of the case (older design). Exactly what I needed.

Worked like a charm
Just installed these and they worked like a charm. I could have bought a hot swap-able bay instead but I have no need to swap this drive out. The rails worked just fine in my new computer. Note it does come with screws to mount the rails to the drive - but there are no screws to mount the rails to the computer, you will need to provide those. The screws are pretty small so don't be surprised if you have to make a few attempts to get these seated before you get them to screw in,

Do not recommend
I can't recommend these. I thought the drives I installed were faulty by the volume of clicking they were producing, but I figured there was pretty much no chance I received 2 bad drives. I swapped these out for a 5.25" to 3.5" cage, and the drives went to a normal volume. The cage is nothing special in regards to vibration dampening, they just slide in on metal rails and latch on the front. For whatever reason, these mounts ended up causing the drives to be ridiculously loud.
