Purchased this for an upcoming litter of puppies. It has an extra thick cord to keep little puppy razor sharp teeth from chewing it! Auto shut off but it can be set for up to 12 hours. Soft to the touch. Highly recommend.

I used this for an litter of pups just born. Of course they didn't chew on it with no teeth. Mother didn't bother it. Far as pups with teeth I doubt if it is chew proof. Far as temperature I had it set at 125 and it really didn't feel all that warm to me. I tried 130 and that felt pretty hot, too hot I felt for young pups. Timer worked fine.

I purchased this for my son’s dog and my cats. They really love it. I use setting 130 degrees, they cozy up in it and sleep warm. These are used in a large dog house and a large cat house one outside and one in a garage.

The media could not be loaded. When I first received this item, our dogs loved it. I loved it. We live in an area where we have cooler mornings and warmer afternoons, so this item was perfect. The timer was excellent. Washing it couldn't have been any easier. Our dogs have been using the heating pad on and off for approximately 3 months w/no problem. Until last night. We arrived home late to find this! (See photos). Thank GOD the dogs were inside our house when the pad caught fire. The dog house is entirely made of wood as is our house. If my husband, a retired firefighter, did not smell the material burning while he was unloading the car, we possibly could have woken up to a really bad situation. I contacted Amazon right away and was given a phone number in Bolivia to contact the Seller. The # was disconnected. We live in the US. I don't know if this was just an isolated incident, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep an eye on this pad. Amazon also attemped to contact the seller and their phone # was disconnected. Amazon did write up a safety report.

It heats up warm and is large enough for a medium sized dog to lay on. Has a nice cover also

I bought for my cat outside! He will not come inside! Loves to go in his cage in winter and stay warm all winter! Make sure it is adjusted for the temperature outside and he stays there all night and some days!
