8 Inch Kitchen Knife Cooking Knife, Sharp Asian Knife in German High Carbon Stainless Steel with Ergonomic Handle

Good quality knife, easy to hold, not too heavy, but...I bought this as a replacement for my old chef's knife. I found that I cannot hold onto food (the same way I did with a chef's knife) that I'm trying to cut because this blade is too tall. I can't get my hand around it the way I can with a regular chef's knife to hold smaller pieces of food steady while I cut (as an example) a small potato in half. It may be a great knife for some, but didn't work out for me. If I had known this would be a problem, I might have been able to avoid it by buying their smaller, lower version of this knife.

Works in a professional kitchen. Fist day using it I was surprised. You can dice an onion and chop meat effortlessly. The blade is super sharp. VERY nice I just wish a rubber handle was available because the wood gets messy easily. Awesome knife. Could not make a better design myself. No more sore hand from cutting so much. The amount of pressure you can put down when chopping meat with no effort is just amazing.

This is a cleaver, Chef's Knife and cook's knife hybrid design.The shape and position of the handle allows the knife to be used for push cuts that transfer more of the user's strength down than forward. It is also good for cleaving, rocking and nose-down pull slicing. The handle size may be too small for people with arthritis, so that may need to be addressed by wrapping something around it.The blade is sharp and thick enough to not bend if someone leans on it.The total outcome of the design is that it can be used by people whose physical ability may inhibit their use of standard knives. This knife opens the joy of cooking and food preparation to those who cannot participate with standard knives.I would recommend anyone who cannot use standard shaped knives give this a try. I recommend that anyone who enjoys teaching others to have one available to increase the inclusiveness of their kitchen.Given the price point, it is an exceptional value. It can be the one knife you use for food prep.

I like it's inherent safety, While not as sharp out of the box, it slices thinly. Worthy.

This kitchen tool is a bit awkward to use. The handle is on one end so it was difficult for me to use. Seems very well made though. It may just be me ? Idk...

I was so impressed with this knife, I ordered one for each of my girls.
