A Great Hard Shell For My New Microsoft Surface Laptop.... Absolutely As Advertised!
I have been hoping someone had a shell cover for the new Microsoft Surface Laptop. Found this one on Amazon.... it is exactly what I was looking for. I have been using a rather bulky leather folio to protect the laptop, but much preferred the hard shell type like I had with my MacBook Pro (that my son walked off with for his first year in college).I purchased the darker blue version. I really like the frosted semi-clear texture and look. It compliments the form of the Surface Laptop perfectly. The fit and finish are as good as the $55 Moshi i-Glaze that is on my son's MacBook Pro... although its not as thin. Not that that is a bad thing. I had to return the Moshi due to cracks in the back and corners of the bottom piece. None-the-less, the iPearl mCover looks and functions as advertised. I also appreciate the extending feet at the back that lifts the Surface Laptop to a comfortable angle for typing. The bottom piece fits perfectly and securing clips don't do any anything to lift or damage the Alcantara fabric on the deck of the keyboard. This was one are I was a bit concerned about... but absolutely no issues. The top piece has a small lip that runs along about 75% of the shell that makes it easy to open the top of the laptop... you don't even notice it. All-in-all, this is well worth the price (maybe even under priced) and I would highly recommend this for anyone with the new Microsoft Surface Laptop that doesn't want to damage that beautiful aluminum on the top or bottom.FOLLOW-UP..... After using the iPearl mCover for my Surface Laptop for a number of weeks I would continue to give it 5 stars. This is an excellent product and works exactly as I had expected. I especially like the blue frosted finish. Without hesitation I would recommend this product.

2020 review - I love it!
Before I purchased this case, I noticed all the bad reviews are from 2017-2018. So due to all the negativity that made me paranoid to buy this, I am going to share pictures I went out of my way to label to get the best and honest review out of it. My laptop is a Microsoft Surface 2, which I bought in November 2019. There were 2 of versions. One of them was a normal laptop (mine) and the other version is pretty much a tablet with a detachable keyboard (not mine.) My computer is 13.5 inches, which the cases are made for. If you aren’t sure of the size (I was not) just measure the screen diagonally as if you would do to measure a TV screen size. Next, the case is I got was the pink one. It came protected with bubble wrap and was not damaged. It got here in a timely fashion. When I took the case out of the packaging, I was worried because it looked so thin and I didn’t know if it would fit right. When you put it on your laptop, it literally just snaps on. It was not difficult in the slightest to put it on, it snapped on lightly and smoothly. If that makes sense... The case is plastic. It’s not flexible. It fits perfect. It’s durable. I didn’t even pay attention to the fact it has the little keyboard lift thing. The case looks so much better in person than it does online. The pink one in the picture looks just a tad more pale than what I have here, but after taking pictures I understand why. It’s hard to get a good picture depending on lighting. The pink case I have is more neon pink, and I absolutely love it more than when I hit the purchase button. Some of the reviews I read stated that it messed up the fabric part of the laptop or that it was hard to clean or messed up the laptop. Those were all from a couple years ago, and it is 2020 now. When I put the case on, I laughed about it because it’s literally not even possible with this case. It’s very slim fitting, it’s not overly tight and it stays in place. I was concerned that when you open and close the laptop it might keep slipping off due to the slim fit. It does not. It is not bulky or weigh the computer down. The laptop does not overheat. It doesn’t block any ports on the side. It opens and closes easily. I’ve had no issues so far. And it fits just as if you bought a slim fitting phone or tablet case that easily snaps on. I included pictures from every angle and side of the laptop, and pictures both with and without flash. This case is perfect in almost every way and I love it. So I figured anyone who needs a case also needs a fully written review that is not 2 or more years old! Hope this helps someone else like me who shops around online for like 2 hours for every case possible to find the cutest, most durable choice for every single device they have at home.😆 Thanks. **You can go to settings on your laptop, then to system, then scroll down to “about” and find other computer information.**

Decent cover with easy install but hides logo
Received this case and installed it in a few seconds. It clips on very easily and fit very snug. For as easy as it was to clip on, it's not loose at all and not at risk of accidentally becoming unclipped. It doesn't add very much bulk or weight to the laptop. My bottom cover fit perfect in the back, so I didn't have the issues others did where the charger wouldn't fit in the back facing position. I also didn't have any issues with it damaging the fabric finish on the keyboard. Like others said, the case is not clear and the logo isn't visible at all with the black case. The paint on mine also looks a little uneven in certain spots, but isn't really that noticeable unless you're really looking hard at it. I will likely keep it since there aren't really any other better options for cases out there at the moment.

Give it a shot!
I just got my Surface Laptop 3 a few days ago and it was so beautiful and new that I was terrified of it getting scratched or anything. I came from a MacBook Pro and I’ve always had ease finding case after case for it so I was wary when I decided I needed one for my Surface. This one had the clear option though so I went for it and it had good reviews. I only just received it today so I can’t say how durable it is or that kind of review, but it does fit the laptop and it doesn’t take too much away from the pretty Cobalt Blue color. The top piece is totally transparent which is awesome because I wanted the color to come through. I’m probably going to put some stickers on it anyways, but I’d you don’t plan to, I wouldn’t worry about the color not showing through. The bottom piece was a little tricky as some people stated. It did slightly lift the corner of the fabric on the keyboard so I took the whole bottom piece off and started with corners and that did the trick! I was kinda bummed it pulled the fabric up but as soon as it started to, I took the case off so it didn’t mess it up more. Try starting with the corners! I tried plugging the charger in both ways and it had no problem charging. But overall, I’m happy and at a fairly cheap price I don’t see why you wouldn’t at least give this a shot!
