Heat at the far end is a little soft compared to the rest of pan, but the unit works well and cleans easy. I used butane cans from ace hardware they work fine.

This is a great product! The heat spreads evenly with no cold spots. My previous takoyaki maker had uneven heating, so I had to constantly move the batter around—but not with this one. It’s very well made, and I highly recommend it!

Being able to make takoyaki at home is one of my dream life skill I wish to learn. Now I did! This takoyaki pan and stove makes it easy! Portable size and reasonable weight are plus.The minor thing about this item is that the heat distribution seems uneven. I have to swap some balls and risk breaking the balls. But as you can see, it turned out great! Thanks to the non stick property. Still, use some oil for the best result.

I love this little thing. It's a good size, it's easy to clean, it cooks takoyaki balls evenly, it's compatible with generic butane canisters you can find at your local Asia market, and it makes me actually want to cook takoyaki with my friends. It's extremely portable too: you could even take it camping if you want!It does take up space, so make sure you've got somewhere to put it in your kitchen. But that aside, if you're the type of person who's looking to buy something like this, you're also going to be the sort of person who doesn't regret it.

Takoyaki machine, rocks. I’m a professional chef and skipped on buying an electric one giving that I assumed they wouldn’t develop a nice crispy crust. If you’re gonna make takoyaki, this is the way to go. My girlfriend which doesn’t really cook often was able to use this machine as well.

Gifted to adult son and he is very pleased and excited with gift. He immediately used it 3 days in a row for different groups of friends/family with delicious results.It was assumed that he had purchased food from a food cart down the block. Very impressive since PORTLAND foodies are not easily impressed.

This gas one is way faster and better !! I returned my electric one
