Works well! Proved wrong the neg reviews!
I hardly do reviews but I had to review this one. I couldn’t believe this failed for some. Those who claimed that this qd socket doesnt work probably has a non mil spec or even a mil spec qd socket that is not configured to fit a magpul socket. I tried a GGG triangle socket, magpuls, and some cheap generic ones, all works fine. I pulled hard, did drop tests of nearly 20lbs. Tried to yank it hard, stayed in place.The one that didnt work were custom made ones in custom shops, like MK machining, not the best fit. Slipped right out. Looked at the socket plugs and the shank is too short for some like MK machining where the inner bearings to the upper lip. Some cheaper generic ones may fail, but my cheap generic ones worked.For this who cant get this to work, get a new socket. This works very well

These do not work with magpul
0/5 Wont adapt correctly to Magpul QDs. Appear to insert and lock correctly but fall right out.Luckily no damage

I've been looking for a way to use a QD connector on a sling for my camera and this was the answer! I was a little concerned that it wouldn't be long enough (thought a 0.5 in would be best) but the 0.25 in looks to be workable (so far). I thought it was a little pricey but so far this was the only solution I've found.

Sturdy and simple
What a life saver, my handguard isn't key mod but was pre drilled 10/32. I didn't trust the strength of such a small fastener. I simply opened the hole and tapped to 1/4.

Glad I found this
I use it on the bottom of my Leica M11 hand grip. Threads into the tripod mount and then I attach a QD wrist strap that I made and voila. It's a perfect setup for extra security when using my M11.

These may not work with some QR's.
These are what I was looking for. Though they do not work with: Magpul MS4 QDM Sling QR's.

not good for firearms/crossbow
the 1/4-20 was too big for all my weapons - I originally ordered for my crossbow (tenpoint tx440) but didn't fit. Also the finish on these is very delicate and scratches very easily. these mounts looked very battle worn by time i was done. Since they were so scratched up I tried them on some other weapons - no go. they were so scratched up I felt like they coudn't be returned so into the bottom of the junk parts box they go -- great idea just did't work for me
