Q: I still have the original rx100 1. worth upgrading to 5? i only take still photos of nature and food, & some portraits

I also have the original and got the upgrade. YES, totally worth it! Many enhancements too many to mention. I loved the original and i love this one.

Q: does this camera have image stabilization? if so, is it good?

Yes it has stabilization but don’t expect GoPro or DJI action camera like stabilization for video. Also check the crop factor. Great camera, but don’t buy for the stabilization. Many very successful YouTubers use this camera on a gimbal like the Zhiyun Crane 2.

Q: I cannot seem to find... what flash memory ships with the camera? Do I need to order a card straightaway?

Hi coach,No memory ships with the retail version of the card. Some third-party vendors sell theirs with an SD card. If you plan on just shooting in 1080, a standard SD card will work. If you want to record in 4K you will need an SD card that can handle faster writing speeds. These are called UHS-1 cards. Q: does this camera RX100 V have Raw format?

Yes. You can shoot RAW or RAW + jpeg. Only issue is adobe camera raw doesn’t recognize sony’s raw format so you need to process with Capture or Sony’s software. ON1 can also process it. Super camera!
