Love my Christmas present!Have already used it multiple times. I can see this becoming my go to multi purpose pot. I just wish it wasn't so heavy.

After 1+ years with this Dutch oven - it's awesome! I've braised, roasted, seared, etc. - on the stove-top & in the oven with this pot ... today, I made carnitas - 12+ hours on the stove-top to braise & 'fry' a 4# pork butt - recipe said the pot would be a "horror" when done - not in this pot! Does not matter what I cook in it, I always 'grease' it - a light coat of what we (Boomer here!) used to call "Crisco" ...never put it in the dishwasher (I don't put ANY pans in the dishwasher...) even after burning/scorching (not a perfect cook, here!) this little Dutch oven still looks new! Yes, it's heavy (it IS enamel-coated CAST IRON), but the final cook is everything you're looking for in a Dutch oven! I LOVE the outside color (I got the ombre royal blue - it is SO "rich" in color!)! Overall, for the price, functionality, durability, ease of cleaning (if you treat it right from the start!) and just outside beauty, I give it 5 stars! Especially if you're looking for your "first" real Dutch Oven!
