Q: has any one had any ripped items in there wash when using this product because I have two new hand towels costing £6 my wife not very happy

Yes. I've had a few. I've used the one I've just thrown away literally for years and the coating had worn away exposing the sharp magnet. My own fault as I hadn't noticed. I'm buying another as I rate it highly but I will keep an eye on this one. I will emphasis that I've used the other one for a very long time so I do feel they are worth using.

Q: can you use it with a washing machine/tumble drier combination?

Hi, I did have that question when I bought my washer/drier. I think the answer is "no" because the ball has some metal bits and it's made of soft plastic. I wouldn't dare to melt it with the high drying temperature. I normally take it out before the drying. When I do the combo program, I take it out.

Q: What happens if used at high temperature like 90 degrees Celsius ?

On the specifications of Ecozone Magnoball it says not to use above 60° C.

Q: Has anyone seen any 'scientific evidence' for these devices? I contacted the company, but they claimed 'confidentiality' and could not offer anything

I've been using this for 5 years in the washing machine which is used every day for an animal rescue. It is fine and the machine is clean. If you read the instructions and use it as advised it should be fine. It clearly says no higher temps than 60c and not in the tumble drier.
