I used the both of these for two different purposes. The first was the usual purpose: to hold back the curtains in our guest bedroom to one side of a single window. Not needing the second one for the window, I looked around at where else in the house I might be able to use it, and I decided to put it above the circular mirror in our entryway and connect the mirror to this hook with a bit of rope. The color is pretty unique so you should know that before you buy it. It is a brushed gold finish that is closer to Rose than yellow, but not quite all the way rose gold. The media could not be loaded. I love the brass color of these. They look upscale because they are more of a matt finish. They are just the right size to hold back a curtain panel. It took about 5 minutes to install two of them!

Headline says it all. These were eaiser to install than some similar products I've used, and perform their intended function quite well. I use heavy duty light-blocking curtains with these, and after several months of use there is no sign that the mounting hardware is pulling away from the wall. Excellent product for the price!

The silver pair of curtain holdbacks I added to my windows has truly elevated the overall aesthetic of my space. I used these tiebacks in place of a rod for swag curtains. I love the gold finish, the size and simplicity of the design. My complaint is the size of the screw that you add to the back end that then screws into the wall. One, it is over-sized for the tieback. It is too long and doesn't screw into the tieback that far which makes the screw stick out a lot more than it needs to. Second, and this is a big one, the screw is probably 1/4 inch in diameter. Who designed this thing? It's a tieback, people. It doesn't need to hold up 50 pounds. It is way over-sized which just leads to making a way larger hole in your wall than is needed.
