Super fun build! My 8 year old was able to build the whole thing by himself and he's been playing with it for DAYS. Its super fun that it comes with multiple skins. We've never done an electronics project before and this was a fun first.

I ordered this kit for my son from KiwiCo's Amazon store. We ran into some trouble with one of the switches. After some tinkering, we figured out one of them was defective.I contacted KiwiCo for a replacement. Their response was that they will not offer any support or replace my defective part because I bought it via Amazon. The customer service rep suggested that I ask Amazon for a replacement part. You will be shocked to learn that Amazon doesn't offer replacement part service for defective contents of a science kit. And since it's outside the return window, I can't just send it to the landfill for a refund.After some googling, I ended up buying a replacement part on Amazon. Fingers crossed it works. I guess Amazon does offer replacement parts--I got 12 for $5.99, arriving Tuesday.One-star customer service policy. Would not buy again.

Got this to build with my 5yo son. We had a great quality time together. He had fun at home and away from screen. I also bought the science of cooking set. Can’t wait to try that out.

The controls were wired backwards as confirmed by mechanical engineer. Piece of junk. Grandson had fun putting together but was frustrated that the wiring was backward and with little use was not controllable.
