Amazing Bluetooth turntable, a real head turner
I recently purchased the House of Marley Stir It Up Lux Wireless Turntable, and I couldn't be happier with it! First off, the design is absolutely stunning—it’s an eye-catching piece that looks amazing in our lounge. The blend of materials gives it a premium and stylish feel.Setting it up was incredibly easy. I was able to get it working in no time at all, and connecting it to my Marley speakers was super easy. I also tried it with my son’s Bluetooth speaker and pairing process was simple, and it stays connected without any issues, which is a big plus.If you're looking for a Bluetooth turntable that looks great, is easy to use, and provides excellent sound quality, I highly recommend the House of Marley Stir It Up Lux. It’s a perfect mix of style, functionality, and eco-friendliness. I’m extremely pleased with this purchase!

Disappointed
Love the turntable but it was chafing/rubbing and not turning smoothly, so have returned, hopefully to be replaced as it is really cool😀

Stylish with Excellent Sound Quality
This record player is a great addition to my setup. The thick bamboo base and glass platter give it a retro look that feels sturdy and unique.Setup was pretty simple with the instructions about calibrating the arm. The Bluetooth connectivity is great, and I've had no problems connecting it to my Bluetooth headphones and speaker.Sound quality is nice and rich. While it doesn't come with a dust cover, I can see one is available separately if needed. To me, it's the sound quality, connectivity and style that stand out

Not a hifi turntable
To be fair nowhere in the blub does this claim to be a hifi item. It is being marketed as 'sustainably crafted, Recycled materials etc'. You get recycled paper, recycled aluminium, FSC certified wood, Bamboo and organic cotton. If that is what is important to you then fine but I think you are paying over the odds for a sub-optimal sound experience. It is described as a 'Bluetooth turntable' and it does indeed have blue tooth connectivity (latest 5.3 version too). However, for most people the whole point of playing vinyl is to experience an analogue sound, so why digitalise it and send it over a lossy format like Bluetooth? I suppose that for some, having a wireless connection to a pair of low grade powered speakers is a convenience which might appeal. So, what do you get for your money?PRO'sQuite good looking, particularly the tone armVery easy to set upBuilt in, reasonable quality phono pre-amp which can be turned off to allow connection to the phono inputs of an integrated ampHeadphone socketAutomatic stop/startGood quality Audio Technica cartridge which can be further upgraded by fitting an even better stylusBetter than basic tone arm which works wellDial-in anti skate controlReasonable stereo image and instrument separationCONSSignal/noise ratio quoted as 50db (pretty bad)Audible wow - caused by the platter centre hole being slightly off-centre (bad quality control)No dust coverSome hum audible at higher volumes (better cabling might fix but there is no earth connection)No speed adjustment/control33/45 speeds only (no 78)Sound slightly lacking in bass and bass firmnessNot particularly deep sound stageBasic mass produced belt drive/motor mechanismFixed cartridge headshellOn my example the red light from the control button shows through a crack(?) in the plinthOver all this turntable can produce quite reasonable sound from vinyl. The cartridge is very good for this price point. It is let down by the use of dubious materials elsewhere, lack of quality control and the price. A dust cover/lid is a serious omission. At £100 less it could be considered a possible starter turntable.

Just can't get past the fact there are no speakers
Review from my husband:Now, I already have one record player, it's a one-by-one which has an audio technica stylus and has fantastic sound. I already knew this when I selected this deck, that’s why I wanted it. It looks really, really nice and very modern looking with the glass platter being a lovely touch. The aluminium arm is really nice too, all very stylish looking with a very minimalist approach, so much so they forgot to include a dust cover, a nice glass one to compliment the platter would be very nice. Now, you need to supply your own speaker for this which I thought was a pain as I don’t have a Bluetooth wireless speaker so I had to borrow my son's JBL, which also is of fantastic quality, so after a bit of fiddling I got records playing and they all sounded great. the counterweight is a bit of a pain to get right though. It's all very well being conscious of our environment and using sustainable materials but when it starts costing silly money then it's just not sustainable for the buyers to keep buying products like this, especially with the cost of living and whatnot. Don’t get me wrong, this is a beautiful turntable and has pride of place in my dining room (minus a speaker), but for 350 quid with no built-in speaker or dust cover, it's just way too expensive because their own speaker set costs another 180 quid so that bumps it up to £530 and you can get amazing audio equipment for that much. There are other units out there with equal audio capability for a lot less, they might not be as environmentally friendly as Bob's gang but they are a lot more wallet-friendly and they have covers and speakers too. 4/5, sorry Bob, no speaker, no play :(
