The best watercolor paper that is readily available. Yes it costs more than other brands - but it is worth the price. Take advantage of the block gluing to reduce warping.

What is there to say. Nothing compares to this watercolor paper. I suppose that's why they can and do charge you an arm n a leg.

I almost returned this paper block, but then watched a video by Emma Jane Lefavre (watercolor artist-she's excellent) who talked about watercolor block paper, and how to open the block up. When you take the green cover off of the package, the "page" underneath it is black. but look at the middle of the top edge of the block, you will see a white section. If you put a knife underneath the top sheet to take it off the block, you'll find the white paper.
