Q: Can this food be used with mini macaws such as a Severe, or is it too large?

It is very large. I also have a gold cap conure and I do not feed this to him. Not sure how big of a bill a mini macaw has. I have a blue and gold and their bills are very large.

Q: People Actually pay $80 for this ? Get a 10lb bag of fiesta for $30

If you don't feed your bird properly they are at risk for a host of health issues. Kaytee is not healthy for birds, and they will live a much shorter life.

Q: Why has this food doubled in price in the last year and a half? I paid $37.49 for it a year and a half ago and $49.99 for it just last July.

The prices on Amazon fluctuate according to who is selling and what prices they set. So if you check from one week or month to another they can change. Also, the wholesale price can change at any time, so that price increase must be passed on to the buyer. Hope this is helpful.

Yes, see the package, on the back there is a cockatoo”s pic. I have a macaw. But also read the package, because sometimes, they don’t like some of the fruits that come in the package
