Easy to operate - great little clock radio!
The clock radio I ordered before was incredibly difficult to set and operate so I returned it and got this one. This is user friendly and intuitive. Quite a few settings, but they are easy to achieve with instructions that are clear and well-written. Time/date was easy to set and the clock numbers are nice and big - with several settings for brightness. You also have a choice of 3 colors for the numbers. Tuning the radio was a breeze as was setting a particular station (you can pre-set 4 different stations). This is AM or FM and whatever you choose, you can adjust volume. Reception of FM and AM stations, in my home, is really good with this little radio. And, speaking of little ... this has a very small footprint in case you have a space problem. I will keep the instructions handy until I learn the different button combinations for different settings, but that shouldn't take long. Note: I have NOT tried the alarm because that's not what I got this radio for. I wanted it for the time - and for the radio - and that's all. So, for what I want, this clock radio is great - and the price is right.

Very good clock radio AM&FM
I really like this little clock radio. It is small but has a large display that I can see from across the room. There is a dimmer for the display so it can be tailored to my liking at night. The radio reception was excellent for both AM & FM in my area. The battery backup keeps my settings in case of power outages. The controls are not overly complicated but I did have to read the instructions to set it up. Overall it worked perfectly for my needs and the price was reasonable.

Very Nice Compact, Basic Clock Radio, But Not for the AM Band
I purchased this as a gift for my sister. She wanted a bedside AM and FM (but mostly AM) digital tuner with presets. After researching, I picked the Homicial for its large clock display with variable color and brightness. I liked that the buttons had nice, white labels, and operation was fairly intuitive once you get used to it. The instructions are too small for the button pictures to be deciphered, so I drew the buttons for her on the instructions. Then they were understandable. For such a compact radio it has decent sound. It is a pretty basic package with only one alarm and not a lot of fancy features. That’s what we wanted. Most buttons have dual functions, but they make sense. The four preset buttons are great (4 AM and 4 FM presets). The bad: AM reception is very bad. In suburban Indianapolis, it did not get one listenable AM station. In suburban Chicago, it got one of the four stations that my sister listens to pretty well. Two of the stations had a constant whine. One station was non-existent, even after trying the radio in different locations and positions. FM seemed to work fine, but my sister mostly listens to AM talk radio. That was a no-go. I would have returned it, but we found a use for it as a very fine digital clock. So if you don’t care about AM radio, this is a nice, basic, compact digital radio with presets, and a very fine digital clock. I’ll give it 4 stars because most people listen to FM radio and don’t care about AM.

Face Color Changeable!
Change Color!Best Feature, being able to change the color of the numbers! Blue, Green, Red. Supposedly red is the color more conducive to sleep. But I chose blue because it is easier on my eyes. Setting of all the features, we’re fairly quick and easy, Unlike some other products that require two hands to set the clock. The sound quality is great. My dad needed a small clock with all the features and he loves it!

Works great.
The clock numerals are nice and big. They light up, of course. The clock/radio is nice and compact which is great for my nightstand. Both radio AM and FM stations that I listen to work great. I’m happy with my purchase.

Tiny and cute. Clear sound.
I haven’t used the alarm yet, but so far this little clock radio is well worth its price. The sound is remarkably good; set up was easy. I inserted batteries first so that lit the screen. Then I started setting time and stations before I read the instructions, which, if you have had a clock radio in the past, is dead easy. Each button has dual functions, so that’s the only tricky part where you might want to check instructions. The size is perfect. I like that you can change the colors of the display. Let’s hope the alarm works and it lasts..

Radio alarm volume doesn’t go low enough
I’ve been searching for a radio alarm clock to help gently wake up my reluctant kids in the morning for school. It’s a battle I hate fighting every day. And for some reason, it is really, REALLY difficult to find a basic, not hideous, non-Bluetooth, regular old little clock radio with adjustable brightness. This clock had it all, seemingly. There are four brightness settings: So dim you can only see it in the complete dark, very dim, normal, and bright enough to vaguely illuminate everything in the room and keep you up all night. The kids love the three different colors and argue every night about what color the clock numbers get to be that night.I was hoping I could set it to wake the kids up with the gentle, low sound of the radio each day at 6am, so they have time to wake up a little before I go in and make them get up for real. While the normal radio function has a volume of 0 (inaudible) through 16 (painfully loud), the radio alarm function goes no lower than a volume of 5, which is not low enough to be woken up gently. A volume of 5 can be heard across the entire house in the morning. A volume of 5 is still a “Wake nearby people up with a mild heart attack” level of noise. What is up with THAT? Are we not allowed to choose how softly we’d like our morning radio? What the heck? WHY would this be programmed like this? Maybe there’s something wrong with the clock. I don’t know. I think I’m just going to have to buy an overpriced “vintage” clock radio from the 90’s on EBay or something. This is ridiculous. WHY IS IT SO HARD TO FIND A DECENT, SIMPLE, NOT UGLY CLOCK RADIO? This is okay if you’re a “blast me out of bed” type, but it’s not the one for us.
