I purchased a aftermarket stand for my monitor that supports portrait mode, but when I used it this way the ports directly lined up with the column of the stand...making it almost impossible to plug a displayport cable in. I purchased these to give me options on the direction of the port and they solved the whole problem, making the cable being able to be plugged in from the side. I have used this with 4k 60hz and have not had a single issue with them, so although I can't test the 8k capabilities, they work great for me at 4k. These would also be great for most wall mount setups that don't have much clearance.

I purchased this adapter for my GE76 3080 laptop with a mini DisplayPort to connect to a new QHD display. Unfortunately, I had issues with both adapters I tried. The first one failed within 24 hours, which I initially thought was due to my laptop or another DisplayPort cable, but after further testing, it became clear that the adapter was the issue. The second adapter failed just two weeks after purchase. Both adapters showed a similar problem: the Mini DisplayPort end came apart, causing my monitor to detect the cable but display a "no signal" error. The only reason I figured out the adapter was the cause was when it failed a second time—it actually ripped the connector out and left it stuck in my laptop. Based on my experience, I can't recommend this product. I’ll be purchasing a different brand moving forward.

Works great. I used this to extend the cable to my PC and works exactly as expected.

I had a tangled mess in the back. These helped clean it up just so that the exhaust coming out the back didn't have any kind of blockage. I used cable management and made sure the cables were laid down on the back of the computer case so they were much neater and had better air flow out the back.

Works (4k@175hz) but very fragile.I had it tied to a few other cables and that small amount of weight was enough to bend it enough to not work. Then I calmly snapped it in half as shown.Better to break this than the laptop port I guess…
