Can i use split peas and still have that same love it effect everyone is exclaiming? or use the big frozen peas

Marrowfat peas are a really unique product and while substitutions are sometimes necessary in these times the taste and use of split peas or big frozen peas are not however really all that comparable . It would be a vague approximation and if that's all you have so be it- you could make it taste good by maybe combining the two.If you ever have a chance to try a package from Batchelors for a treat one time they are so delicious with fish and chips .

Are these dried peas?

Yes peas are dried, must be soaked in water to be reconstituted before eaten

Can you please tell me what the ingredients are ? Do they have artificial colorings in them? Or anything other than just the peas?

Just the dried marrowfat peas. Plus a “soaking tablet” made from Sodium Carbonate, Sodium Bi-carbonate, & Sodium Acid per the ingredient disclosure. Says NO artificial coloring or preservatives, & low in (natural)sugar… good for vegetarians. Made in Ireland. Pretty creamy & yum & diff from U.S. fare. I’d buy again!

Can these be used to make wasabi peas?

Update to my answer-I was wrong- they are not sold in cans.
