I would like to hear from recent users of this product. I have read some poor reviews. Anybody use this within the past six months with good results?

IT WORKS! I have only had to use it on a group of attackers once...the can was expired by 2yrs and it did the job. It's not an automatic shut down and a person who's adamant about getting you may still advance. This is really for that split second you need to get the heck out of that situation. Now on to "trial #2"...yup, I let someone spray me (don't try it folks! There's plenty of dummies on YouTube you can laugh at. My "test" was a little different. I'm a certified/professional firearm instructor and me and my team were wondering, "If someone sprayed you to try to do you harm/kill you...could you still get off accurate shots in time...?" ONLY ONE WAY TO FIND OUT AND I DREW THE SHORT STICK! I really did feel like I was a badass...for the first 2-3 seconds, and then it hit me! Our test showed that if you get sprayed and need to fire your weapon...it's not easy! Get it done and done right as soon as possible because within seconds you'll be wiping your eyes, and with the pepper gel, that just makes things that much worse as you spread it everywhere else trying to wipe it away. Best advice I have, and something we were smart enough to have ready. If you do use (carry this with you) the product, pick up a couple Sudecon Wipes or, Decontamination spray. It's not an automatic cure but, it does help a LOT if the spray/gel gets on you. If you have to get a little on you to get a lot on who/whatever you're in fear of, that's what you gotta do and it's nice to have a little relief close by.

why does the pink one cost more?

Mine shows the black one as costing $9.99 and the pink as costing $9.90, so I'm assuming Amazon is charging you more for the pink because it thinks you're more likely to buy it while it's charging me more for the black because it thinks I'm more likely to buy it instead.

I live in NJ - when I attempt to checkout it says it cannot be shipped to my address. What's the catch?

People saying 22 grams ar enot allowed do not know what they are talking about. 22 gram pepper spray canisters are in hundreds and hundreds of NJ stores including my local Home Depot.. If you call the NJ State Police they will tell you 22 grams is fine. Thousands of products in US are labeled "22 grams/ 0.75 ounce" General conversion charts out 22 grams at 3/4 of an ounce. On top of that if you go by weight, the liquid inside is actually slightly under .75 ounce and hte NJ statue does not specificy volume. Lastly if you look at findlaw of NJ law, not one singe person has been fined or prosecuted for 22 oc spray canister being "over 3/4 of an ounce."
