Yes, the carafe can be put on a stove, but only over very low heat. It can safely be put on a low setting to keep coffee warm, though this can change the flavor of the coffee. My recommendation is to pour into an insulated cup or mug to retain heat.

Is this the 01 size or 02?

I believe this is the 01 size. That is what came with my set. I was disappointed at first when I opened it, but didn't want to deal with the hassle of returning it and it turns out to work fine for the size of the pot.

Does the white one come packaged nicely as it is shown on the first picture of the red one?

The shipment arrived without any means of protection. There was no packaging, only glass and ceramics inside the carton, which caused the unit to arrive. The ceramic cup was broken .. How can a seller ship ceramics and glass without packaging? This is really strange ..
